I for one see nothing wrong with you writing this story. I was raised a strict catholic in a German orphanage surrounded by nothing but German nuns. I used to be left handed but THAT IS A SIGN OF THE DEVIL. One must be right handed in order to be at the right hand with God. Even later in life I was adopted by Catholics. They made me go to church yet they did not. Later on in life after have lived with this new family until I was 18 and was abused by my new mother until the day I left and then just mentally abused thereafter I too got excommunicated. I had to write a letter to the pope explaining my situation....I married and divorced....he was much too abusive and after I had enough and was brave enough, I left him taking my two sons with me moving to another state no job, no car, no money and knowing no one....I believe each follows their own religion. But I personally believe Religions are human made. Why should I have to go through a man (the pope, a priest) in order to get to God. Men/Women...they just should be Christians and follow God's rules and not rewrite them in order to match what they think is right. Every day a new religion is created and every day there will be followers of that new religion. We all need something and if a new religion can help a person in need, let them be a part of it. Just because someone may not agree whose to say what is right; what is wrong. We will all find out soon enough on judgement day....when we all must look deep within ourselves. Some of the most church going folk are the worst hypocrites

Sorry I went on and on.... I just realized something. I think I just found out how I can start my writing. Maybe....if I do....or should I say WHEN I DO, I will pretend I am writing a Review for you because that is when I write the most.

Thanks for letting me vent; for letting me share; for letting me add my comments; and especially for reading what I have written and still liking me after you have read it.

This will be a good story when all is said and done. I will enjoy reading each and every chapter from here on out.

Your story is amazing. Every time I hear from you I learn more and more about a life that was so painful. Out of it you create such beautiful art. I so agree with you about the Catholic Church. As I explained in the prologue I would not exist if my mother had stayed with the Catholic Doctrine. I believe spirituality comes from the good part of who we are. Also, Why should a priest who is suppose to be celebrate tell me how to take care of my husband. Where do you begin your story is the question. Your life is so involved. I am so fascinated by it.

Hi Judy,

I am a new catholic as of this year. I married a catholic man, married by the catholic faith and that day set me slowly on my road. He is a good, faithful man who recently has begun daily rituals any priest would admire. Together, our faith is growing stronger.

I attended church with him sporadically for many years. Now, we go each week, he goes daily when possible.

I am not offended in the least by your story. I believe the church makes many mistakes. The church does not decide who Jesus will judge in the end.

That said, I will read your story with an open mind and heart.

thank you so much. My biggest complaint is that if my Mother had listened to her mother and not married my dad then I wouldn't be here today. I have also included in the story many people who love the Catholic Church. All religions are good . It is man's interpretation that can get in the way of loving mankind. Thank you so much for your kind words.

I totally agree with your script and in Australia, my people have lived here for 54,000 years (the first Australians were aborigines.) our church is the outback, our cathedral the canopy of the trees. So, the RC church wasn't the first. Religion has done so much damage Judy. We just worship all of Nature and give thanks to Great Spirit, maker of all things. Thank you, Kay.

What beautiful words. " our church is the outback, our cathedral the canopy of the trees." So true, religion has hurt and helped people. I have always loved the tales of the American Indians and love of nature. Like you they worship nature and give thanks to Great Spirit. What did we do here in America? We called them Heathens. Now you have me thinking again. So much to learn.

Hi Jusylee, I understand what you are trying to say. Religion is both good and bad. It's the people who stands behind it who gives it a good or a bad name. I'm looking forward to reading on. All the best. Ulla:)))

Thank you so much. I have found that I can be truthful on this site. It helps me clarify who I am and what I believe. That is how life evolves. It is so nice to be able to trust you.

Okay, so I'm sort of reading all of this backwards, but I'm glad you decided to write the book, and that you have taken the time to explain your motives and motivations. I love it,
Rhonda

There is no reason to hate the catholic church or any other religion because of the evil people that stand hiding behind them. It is not the religion that causes the evil twisted things to happen but the evil twisted people that use it for their justification. But even the twisted people can not justify what they did by hiding behind the catholic religion.
Nowhere in the bible is their actions condoned.

So true, that is why I think all religions are good and evil. We are not and will never be perfect, to claim that one religion is the only calling simply is impossible.
Thank you Winnona, You always understand.

This certainly is an interesting piece. There is much to think about. We are who we are surrounded by- in all emotional states, positive and negative.
I was thinking of a flow chart of sorts as I read (because of this, this happened).
Nicely done.

Thank you so much. I have respect for religion, but we can not blindly follow it.

I left Christianity, and went back to Buddhism where I find much more peace, less self-righteous behavior, judgement and discrimination. Tony

Hi there,

This begs the question to me as to why you felt the need to defend your writing and your story. Anything marked as fiction should always be treated as such without the judgement. As characters, we are not our characters, and not necessarily our words.

This is a well written piece, but no justification should be necessary.

All the best

We are forced, co-horsed - should this be coerced?

Wow, your mother was in a difficult situation, to say the very least.

This story will make a great novel. I look forward to reading it. All the best.

Thank you , but life is wonderful. Religion can be both freeing and confining. That is the story of life.
