Hi Belinda it is a delight to catch up with you again, and imbibe this delightful nourishment for my heart, life and soul. It speaks personally and lovingly for me, an autumn and wintering leaf on our great Tree of Life; as`testing faith along the way,' needs
to grow my maturity, regenerate the roots of all life on this precious Earth and nourish our future potential of love's co-creativity and joy. Blessings for your journey, Maureen*&*

A very well-written free verse poem of your journey on finding faith. Although it feels like we stand alone and have to fight to find our way. God is always there with us to guide and protect us.

I found this to be a "gripping" and compelling work of testimony and honest sharing of sincere emotions, faith, and learning experience. I hope this work will touch many and reassure others that persistent and sincere faith in GOD will never fail them! Blessings! HIS GRAYNESS: Vance

There is a string message here about your emergence from the wilderness to re-discover your faith in God. The short, rhyming quatrains use simple language to convey the 'journey'.
One word choice in particular puzzles me. You write 'Alas;, a word indicating deep negative emotion, just as you should be celebrating the hope and joy of new-found life. Can I suggest replacing it with something more appropriate 'Rejoice' comes to mind.

This is a beautiful poem of despair and salvation. it is a good feeling to know that we are not journeying through life alone, for God will guide us through, if we listen. I really like the flow of the poem, the rhyme is good, the message is inspiring and uplifting. Thanks for sharing.

Hello, Belinda. I believe this is the first opportunity I've had to read your work, and I must say this poem was well rhymed, well-composed and truly uplifting.
I read all poetry I'm reviewing aloud, and I only ran into one stanza I stumbled over just a bit. I've made a not of it below:
How testing faith along the way
Will grow my maturity,
And even when I go astray
You will come and rescue me! ...........The flow and cadence seemed a bit off to me, at least in comparison to all of your other well written stanzas. Might you consider the following:
How testing faith along the way
grew my maturity,
And even when I go astray
You'll come to rescue me!
This is merely a suggestion in the efforts to help you shore up these lines a bit. It is a beautiful poem just as it's written.
Well done.

A most wonderful prayer and cry to the Lord. I love the picture with the snow brisk ing the mountains as it is very effective. This is perfect and if I had six I'd give it for this.

I know that many people have gone on similar journeys about their faith in God. I feel this poem is a release of peace and tells how you became the spiritual being that you are today.
