Very nicely done mikey. I never thought about changing the lines around for the reverse, you've done a great job of this one and great artwork.
cheers,

Yeah. That's a big help sometimes. You didn't need to with yours, it flowed smoothly just like it was. Mine wouldn't work without doing a little rearranging. LOL
    Thanks so much, mikey

Mikey, I think it is exceptional. Too many of these palindromes sound forced, because of the great difficulty of the task. Yours not only flows naturally but is of great depth and reads like a poem (lol). I like a concept of souls flying. Excellent imagery here.

Loved it to bits. Should make it to well received poems.

Glad you liked it. A tough challenge but we all seemed to step up and knock it out. Oh, we're not supposed to give each other sixes. HAHAHA. Not that I don't like getting one. Just one of our rules so we don't waste all of ours on each other. But unlimited compliments are fine. Try and set aside twenty minutes or so and enter one. It's fine and we all survived. mikey

Mikey, I wasn't thinking of entering, but since you asked...

It is rainy and miserable in NY, good time for writing palindromes (lol)

Hello Mikey;
-I like your palindrome I felt that the concept was particularly a little weak but I was greatly inspirational and enlightening.
- your presentation of a black background and gold letters had a great effect on the reading and a positive note and manner.
- I thought the picture was very appropriate, relative and supported to the meaning and conceptual theme of your writing.
- thanks for sharing and posting and may the Lord be with you always Mikey.

Thanks a million, Alex. Not bad for seventeen minutes to write and post, huh? LOL
A fun challenge. You really have to join us. It's the best fun. Next week I think we're doing 5-7-5 suites, right up your alley. Thanks a million, mikey

Wow! Unbelievably good in the time. Not only palindrome-perfect, but subtle and clever changes of meaning in both halves. Kudos!

    Hi, Tony
Gee, we were terrified of this all week. Then, we all go out and just knock on right out. I"m so pleased you liked this. I was a bit shocked I was able to do this. Gloria and I almost tied. But she got me by just about three seconds! Oh well, no shame in coming within three seconds of her, yes. LOL mikey

Souls flying to find truth in our daily struggles we look for answers to make ourselves happy and accepted by all. We can only look after our own souls to find the right way to go.

Oh my. That is such a lovely phrase, "The clouds hold many hearts". I love that. Yeah, I'm pretty far off the deep end romantic. LOL
I'm so pleased you enjoyed this. You certainly understand it completely. Thanks so much. mikey

We'll do something sane next week. LOL
But hey, we did the impossible this week and the whole site knows it. Yep, we are some bad poets folks! Gracias, miguel

Hi Mikey, I really don't mind what we do just get embarrassed when they are so rushed and don't have the time to put it right. lol But it is great fun to see how we all work under pressure. I think with this we nailed it!!!

Just remember, most of the people don't even have the nerve to try. We try and we DO. I have to say though, this week was really amazing. Wow. We did nail it! mikey :))

    You're such a good sport. :))
What a perfect topic for this challenge. Just enough room for our imaginations, but not too much for us to walk off a cliff with!!! We will do a 5-7-5 suite next week. Three or more 5-7-5s on the topic of YOUR choice. WHOOOO HOOOOO! I'm pleased to leave these behind. I must say though, it's something else that everyone is knocking these so-called impossible things off like they're nothing. What a group, yes? :)) mikey
reply by Phyllis Stewart on 07-May-2016
Yes, indeed. You and Gloria have attracted a smart group. I'm honored to be a part of it. :)

Next week should require little or no prep since everyone knows that form well.

I don't know what you call it, but 8/6/8/6 stanzas have a nice sound and are popular.

Then there's that cool Aussie form, also don't know the official name. I love the meter and rhyme pattern tho. I've been calling it Gertrude form. Does it sound familiar... can you match the Aussie name to it? Here's an example that I wrote:

    I am having palpitations
    ?cause of awful expectations,
for I fear that something evil is about.

I am worried and I'm quaking
    with considerable shaking;
there is danger lurking near without a doubt.

    <><><>

If I venture from my cover
    I?m afraid I may discover
that it?s waiting for me somewhere in the dark,

    but I?ll check with trepidation
    for I?m needing confirmation,
so I?m getting myself ready to embark.

    <><><>

If you find that I?ve gone missing,
    just enjoy some reminiscing
on the fun we shared together on this site

    and remember with affection
    our poetry connection
and the laughter and the love we shared each night.

    The pattern:

da da DUM da da da DUM da (A)
da da DUM da da da DUM da (A)
da da DUM da da da DUM da da da DUM (B)
da da DUM da da da DUM da (C)
da da DUM da da da DUM da (C)
da da DUM da da da DUM da da da DUM (B)

The last da blends with the first two da's of the next line to keep the pattern of THREE da's together to make a total of six groups of da da da in every three lines.

I love the musical sound of this rhythm.

YOWZER! Not only wrote a palindrome, but wrote a stinking philosophical one! WOWZER. Do we have to write a report and turn it in or can we just THINK the answers?? heeheehee This is a terrific response to the challenge, Mikey!! Good job!

No reports necessary. Thinking is optional, I avoid it. That way my mind stays young and fresh kind of like a nine year olds.
I'm so thrilled, we all did it. LOL
So pleased you liked this. Not bad, eh? Thanks a bunch, mikey
