This was great. I did think you might have been talking about a caterpillar, shredding it's 'house' to become a beautiful butterfly. And caterpillars DO sting if you touch them in the right place..

I live with one of those. She is pretty good hot flushes driv e her nuts. In church we are now in Fall(Autumn) and it is getting cooler but they still have the fans in church going like Aero jets for all the Menopause gals but even the pastor's wife agreed they were going too fast and she is approaching her time too hehe.

I remember when my girl went through that, the emotional swings were worse--the sex was better. It will get better you'll see, and then yeah, none of the annoyances--just the moodiness. If he's understanding, it can be the best time of your life.

I don't know if a male reader can do this essay justice. Do I truly understand what you are talking about? No, even though my wife went "through the change." Nevertheless, I get a pretty graphic picture of what you DO when you're stricken by a hot flash and enjoyed reading this.
