This is a very nice story of life, growing up, getting married, having kids, and getting older. I really enjoyed reading these stages of life, your poem had me reminiscing about my own life. The poem is well written with a nice flow and good rhyme. This is a nice read, thanks for sharing.

This is awesome. I go by the phrase "If it's too loud, your too old." I see you do to. I love the rhyme and this is so well written. Families, especially grandchildren, are a great source of inspiration. Have a great Sunday and God bless.

This is a great poem. The only typo I noticed was in the author's notes, it should be "too loud" instead of "to loud."
The poem itself is heartfelt and honest. I see no errors in it. Nice work.

In just five stanzas of poetry you have summarized your whole life from early childhood to senior status. You have described your ups and downs and mentioned the one constant characteristic you possess that has stayed with you through all of your stages, your volume. This gives you a great humanity and the humor is your grandchildren hushing you.

This was a really delightful poem with great rhyme and content that is surprising sweet and thoughtful, which is kind of unusual for a guy, if you know what I mean, so very refreshing. My favorite stanza being the second, dogs get me every time.

From one grandfather to another, I can relate, though loudness was never my style. (My wife had a great glower that served the purpose, so I used hugs and humor. Both worked well: "Good Cop, Bad Cop"!) I'm glad to see the rhyme, too, as it seems to be becoming an endangered species of poetry. Good work.
