Oh dear! That art looks like the lady in "Psycho"? Lol! I've been a drama queen on here once. I got really upset at being accused of something I did NOT do. That's the one thing that really sets me off. But after I had my say I walked. It's not worth the headache. This site is for helping and writing, not accusing and egos. :)

Hi Marijke!

There is so much truth in your 5-7-5 poem. Drama queens are a whole culture of their own. Now if they'd spare us sometimes lol

Great job!

Kim

Hi Kim, they certainly are... and they are not necessarily females! Warmest regards, Marijke :o)

Well the picture does tell a story. It's never really a tantrum when you yourself are the cause. I've had some outbursts in my adult life that could be described as tantrums, but never at this level. Good of you to avoid the drama.

A worthy 5-7-5 and I agree with you. You say a lot in just 3 lines. I stay clear of them, too. People who overreact don't have a handle on their emotions. Maybe that's what so good about poetry and/or writing in general--we vent. Marilyn

Well written 5-7-5 poem, my dearest friend. Indeed a good advice. Stay away from them, not always possible when it concerns a family member. So keep calm, spend no attention to them or walk away. ... Well done Marijke!!
Lots of love and smiles from miles Fietje xxxxxx

Wow, Fietje, thank you so much for those lovely six stars. And not all Drama Queens are female. The worst one in our family is a male! Yes, pay no attention and walk away... works every time! Thanks again, my friend, and warmest regards, with miles and miles of happy smiles... Marijke :o)

I have no patience for Drama Queens anymore. I used too, if they were pretty enough, but now that is not what matters. Peace, respect, and friendship have stepped forward

My learned response to a Drama Queen is to stay calm, get up and walk away, not get drawn in. It works! Warmest regards, Marijke :o)

Hi, Marijke

= Indeed! Don't need the drama queens.
= Hey, wait a minute--did you write this about my daughter-in-law, the self-proclaimed diva princess???
= Well, I added the diva part. The princess is ALL her idea.
= Love this!

Oh, we did for years. She's good at behind the scene conniving. When my son yelled at us and disrespected me verbally, I walked away alright.

Won't put myself in the line of fire anymore. I've had a belly full of it over the years. He wasn't raised to act as he is, so I'm stepped back.

Hi again - a good 5/7/5 and I agree with what you say. But, mind you, the picture you display from Psycho - OMG it freaked me out when I saw Janet Leigh being stabbed to death in that bath, Ugh! LOL. Warm regards Dorothy x

It is always about them, no matter what. I enjoyed your 5-7-5 poem.

Good job on the presentation--the syllable count, the picture [perfect], and the message.

There are too many people who live to act this way.

Good job and thanks for sharing.
