We did this a lot with my best friend! Often we would pick 14 random words from a book to fit into a sonnet, one word each line! :) That kept us busy :)!
I'm glad to see that you play with that as well!
Delightful poem. I captures how reading can be and should be a real adventure!
I was especially impressed by how you put all three words into the last line!

This is a fine poem in the Tritina form
It takes a little getting use to
with the three words repeating in a different order
rather than have end rhymes
Book are journeys all their own
Available to any who simple open to page one
Interesting library, Lonesome Dove
Clancy's and Michener's galore
love them all
Excellent poem

The message of this poem is the transporting power of literature, and it is a solid message for anyone who likes to read. The form is interesting and gives a nice variation of form. This complements the variations the reader finds in every new book.

Nice Tritina - love the form:)

Though I love to read on my Kindle, I love have my books on hand too. There is just something special, especially, in old books.

Thank you Teresa. I love the free books available on my wife's Kindle, but I love having and holding the real thing. Both the books, and my wife, for that matter.

I am glad you showed us your book case otherwise from the poem I would have had you down as a case of arrested development. Aren't you a touch on the old side for Alice and Cinders?

Joking apart it is a neat little tritina and, unlike te sestina you keep track of the movement easily.

Thank you Pantygynt. Yes, fewer words to keep track of, not to mention - write.

I read everyday, and get through loads of books each year. I belong to a library that has an extensive variety of books, and I can't get enough. You are right, Tom, reading takes you to another world, an exciting world. Lovely poem, my friend. xsx Sandra

Thank you Sandra. I tend to buy paperbacks containing at least 500 pages. Then keep them after I read them.

A fun poem, while reading a story in a book your mind goes to the place you are reading about. A fun way to escape every day life.
