A great and sweet 5-7-5 poem and show the innocence of a little child. It is the most honest and perfect prayer I ever heard of. We pronounce prayer as one syllable, but the dictionary win of course.

Oh my, out of the mouths of babes.
Sometimes , no often times the words of a child unfiltered are wise beyond belief. We can learn so much if we just listen.

Great writing.

The image of child kneeling to say her prayers is very real in this poem and the innocence of a child makes the prayer profound. The simple words from the heart capture the essence of prayer.

I love that it is so simple. I wish adults looked for god every morning to run and say hi.

Simple and cute, good use of syllables, nice flow with a good message. The picture depicts the theme of the poem nicely, good job, good luck with the contest.

Pam was my older sister so the story came to me from my Mother. I loved it.

Jusylee,

This IS a precious story about a young child - they DO say the most amazing things sometimes, don't they?! *smile* Your interpretation works nicely, but I might caution you that some of us pronounce 'prayer' as one syllable. You might make a comment in your author's notes so there's no confusion. *smile* Good luck!

I appreciate that so much. I looked it up and in the dictionary it says it is two syllables so I went by that. I was questioning that also. Thank you for the idea in the authors notes.

It is sweet and sincere and innocent. You have to love those qualities in small children. Simple prayer may really be the best prayer
