That was really lovely! I love the imagery of the waves touching his tootsies, lol, and his elbows fly with his brushes on the canvas. It's such a lovely scene. I think this book would do so well. Love it!!! :)) Sandra xxxx

I've sent you an invite to join the Women Poets. I hope you join, we need more poems and you have some lovely ones. I'm going to have my dinner now but will read more about Wally later. He's so cute!! Love and hugs, my dear, talented sister. :)) Sandra xxx

Wally is going to branch out soon and do many things. He might even take art lessons. LOL

    Thank you. 8-)

I believe that this will be my last light poem that I will review, but there seems to be an epidemic of light poetry since I came back to Fanstory, so I'm having a hard time finding anything serious. Have a happy dayTony

Thank you for reviewing mine. I appreciate it very much.

I feel just the opposite. I find there is so much despair and gloom written here. I thought something for children would be a nice change.

Thank you for reading mine. 8-)

I apologize for being bitter toward you. You are correct; your poem for children is nice, and "should" be written". There has to be a ying and a yang, and you sound like a very sweet "yang" Forgive me, Madam. Tony

Oh, no! I didn't think you were bitter. I'm sorry if I gave that impression. I just meant that I find so much sadness written on this site. Also, I was flattered that you chose mine to read. Please don't feel the need to apologize. Thank you for the compliment. You're so kind. 8-)

I loved the story and the flow from one line to the next. It tied together nicely and I can relate. I work with Special Needs people and we have many Wally's in art class every day and that is what makes the day so rewarding. Sometimes masterpieces come from the most mundane looking works of art.

So true about masterpieces from the mundane. It's so good of you work with these people.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your lovely review and the six stars! I'm very flattered, and so happy you like Wally.

Thank you for taking the time to read and review. 8-)

You know I always look forward to reading about what Wally is up to. Reading these stories helps me to find my childhood because I don't recall ever having someone read to me except at school. Well done, my friend.

Thank YOU for being so supportive. I realize sooner or later Wally is going to be put to rest. Maybe one or two more at the most.

I appreciate how you always make me feel so good about my work. Bless you! 8-)

Wally has been a busy and creative artist. This is a sweet one you've written about Wally painting by the sea. Great imagery- hot sand on his little feet, waves washed in and out with such a lulling beat--lovely! I really enjoyed,Chris

Wally is very talented and he painted a beautiful sunset on the beach. He is proud of his artistic handy work. He did all of it in one afternoon.

Yes, he really puts his all in his painting. I have to see that he keeps one foot on the floor.

Thank you for your review and for your support. I do so much appreciate it. 8-)

Hi DaMommy,

I just love reading about Wally. He's so darn cute and such a talented painter. I wish I go paint as well as he does. I painted for a few years then quit. I sometimes use my own paintings with my work.

It's wonderful you can use your own paintings. I painted several years back, but don't anymore.

I'm so happy you like Wally. He's a sweet little guy. 8-)

It was years ago when I painted too. Every once in awhile I might use one of them. Yes, Wally sure is wonderful.

You should. I'd love to see you do it. 8-)

What? Put up some of my own paintings?
reply by the author on 18-Apr-2016
    Yes, why not?

A lot of the time I forget what people have said in their notes. It's the reason I have to ask questions. What do you mean by "yes, why not?" Kat

Why not use your own paintings in your writing? I think that would be great! 8-)
reply by MizKat on 18-Apr-2016
I would have to write something that the picture would go with. I may try it again, one of these days. LOL Kat

Yvonne,

Oh dear...This is so precious! I loved every bit of your adorable poem.
Now I know Wally and I have something in common...our love for the
beach.

I can't even point out a particular line that I liked, because I loved them
all! This has a great flow and rhymes...action with elbows flying and all.
Wow, he's really creative and he does not hold back!!

Well, let me your first reviewer to mention that amazing sunset scene on
his easel that SweetLinda offered...lol Very nice how you put it there
on his weasel easel.

Super duper poem!

Thank you for a most wonderful review. Wally appreciates the recognition.

I think the painting made the picture.

    Thank you.

April 18 is now officially Weasel Day!
