A bit short, Rhonda. I was just getting in to it, and...damn, it was done.
I think I like the friendly ghost angle, a little help would go a long way in a story like this. Well done with the auditorium action, switching between speakers, you've got that mastered.
I'm getting closer to where you're at, great story. I did this with Phyllis yesterday, reading multiple stories. It's cool like this, back to back. It reads so much better and once a week.

Thanks, and I do this sometimes, too, because I get lost when it's been a few weeks, or I just missed something.
I do appreicate it, and I'm not going to do any more of the short chapters. Someone suggested mine were too long, so I broke it down, and then everyone complained it was too short. I agree.

Watching can be quicker than reading, but it doesn't help hone our skills as writers.; Stephen King is an avid reader and attributes a lot of his success to it!

And the plot thickens with another supernatural character
Any ghost named Maggie must be a friendly ghost
or the readers would start a protest
I guess this evens the odds a little bit
Now they might have a ghost of a chance to defeat the witch
This chapter is a nice little respite before the encounter
with the witch continues
Nicely done, I saw no errors
If the ghost falls asleep the daredevils can start singing
Wake up Maggie I think I got something...
and with that memory
have a great day!

-Very nice image to go with this chapter.
-I'm sure Nancy has her reasons for not wanting to continue and answer the students' questions about the werewolf.
-Becky and Tabby share their experience: a storm causes them to look for shelter inside the house. (I'm surprised they got in so easily with no interference from the witch, but I guess she was occupied with the other girls.)
-The description of the room they are in is beautiful; when they open the closet, out steps an apparition, which is also beautifully described.
-I like her name. Except for the spelling, she reminds me of one of our best actresses, Maggie Smith, who was in Harry Potter. Nice touch.
-Now we will have to wait and see why she is on their side.
-My guess is she may have been related to the witch or the envy of the witch, so the witch used her evil to get back at her, and that is why she wants to help the girls. The snag in that theory would be why the nice room?

Wow, last one is the right one about Maggie.

The room is so beautiful, because it's Maggie's, and the only beauty in the mansion now.

I actually wrote the book years before I knew about the actress, and am rewriting it now as I bought back my rights to it so I could make corrections the editors there didn't.

The witch was caught up with the girls, but she still has a barrier she set up right before the stairs, and she is going to count on it being enough!

Thank you, no I wanted to buy it back. The company was horrible. The next three books I published with another company, then I opened my own, and published two more. I'll publishecthis one when I'm finished. It's s great hobby, and lots of fun!

This is well written with no errors that I saw. A good ghost is a nice contrast to the evil witch. Good has to win over evil and perhaps this will be assisted by Maggie Smyth.
