Hi Marijke, so sad this poem, but it haapens more often than we think.
A terrible accident changed the entire life of the man and his family.
I love the repeating lines that makes it flow so well. Sad, but wonderful.

So sad. People do not think about how their lives and decisions impact others. Your poem gives the stark reality.

Good job on the flow and color scheme choices for emphasis--the black sets the tone for me at least. Good job on the rhyme, too. Thanks for sharing & caring. Jan

I like the way this poem flows - has the feeling of a song. You make a strong point, Life certainly can change in the blink of an eye. We take so much for granted, but it could be gone at any time. Good one. Marijke

Marijke,

This is an impacting poem! Your short rhymed lines
and black and white presentation work really well
to convey your strong message.

It really is sad when accidents happen and lives
are changed...never the same. I particularly like
the stanza that begins..."She know there is no hope"
and ends with "as her tears softly fall"

How they are written...not the situation...I mean.
I guess you have a message about drinking in this
as well.

Linda

This poem is sad. It reminds one that one bad chose can ruin someone's life forever. The old saying, think before you leap, springs to mind. No pun intended. This is a well-written poem and thank you for sharing.

A tragic tale told in good form and rhyme, a bad decision (which was a good one at the time) impacts on so many lives. Nicely written. Thank you for sharing.
Bless you
John
