OMG! You're an awesome MOM. My mom didn't want me to do anything where I might scratch my knee. HAHAHA!
I know it can't be easy for you considering the danger etc., but that is so major cool you back him at doing what he wants to do. I have no doubt he's as proud of you as you are of him. I had a great challenge writing this one. I haven't written many limericks. When NIk fights live on tv it is scary but after I know he has won I watch it over and over on the internet. It is fun having a famous son.

There is no one who can praise a son better than a proud mother and this poem is a tribute to Nikolas whose athletic abilities have taken him to the sport of fighting. The fact that he was born in the midst of storm is an interesting parallel between the extraordinary energy generated by a thunderstorm and the extraordinary energy needed to succeed as a fighter.

I also find it interesting that we named him Nikolas. That name means Warrior or Victorious. Weird isn't it.
