Yes, definately a book for kids!! This was lovely, Yvonne, and I'm going to read some more. I know children will love this, a few more pictures and it will be such a fun book. :)) Sandra xxxx

Thank you for all the reviews about Wally. I may put it on Amazon when I can figure it out. Do you think it needs something more? I can't do anymore picture. Someone else did them for me, and they are no longer available. I might could cut some "cameo" scenes out of the ones I have. Maybe.

We'll look on Pixabay, if you can do what you said, we might manage to find some you can add them to. We'll sort it out and then I'll help you publish it. xxx

I found you, and must now play catch-up.
Wally will go far, and hope to follow him all the way.
Oh, I need more character, so I'll share a smile with you.

Haha - this is so cute. I love the part about all the pictures are of himself. That is such a hoot. By way of critique: The cadence is a little bumpy. One example I can give:

Wally gets excited when he takes his brush in hand.
Smart folks keep their distance and they know just where to stand.

Thank you. Glad you like it.

I think the meter works better if you stress the first syllable. 8-)

I would like to see that lol. I love these characters and, much to my delight, we seem to be having more of them emerge. Tommy and Timmy mouse is back and we also have the penguin family and now Wally the weasel. Thank you for sharing.

What a great poem for children! Wally seems like a fine weasel and you create a bright and fun image of him. I really love the use of words of color in this piece--orange, tangerine, lime green. . .wonderful poem you've written. Chris

These little guys do get a pretty bad press but this one seems to have some talent I'm pleased to see. Dangerous business putting orange in a poem because there are no real rhymes for it. Never mind you got round that well. Children will love this. They all like to paint ant it all goes everywhere.

What a fun poem. I can picture myself reading this to the children. I think the children's faces would light up and this would ignite their imagination.
Thank you for writing children's poems
It is a great to introduce them to poetry at a young age. Your clever attitude not only teaches the child poetry, but also guides them to a lifelong love of words.

I absolutely love your work. I've never read a poem I didn't enjoy. I will one day by a book of your poems and read them to my little boy and girl. I look forward to reading more of these light hearted stories in poetry form. Thank you so much for sharing!! xoLeslie

I can easily substitute a child for Wally the weasel and appreciate the intensity, yet awkwardness of the young artist. Paint everywhere but on the canvas could be any one of my daughters painting and taking great pride In the effort. Mothers have definitely been with the artist, Wally.

Thank you. I must tell you I fashioned Wally after myself. I can't even paint a wall without getting most of it on me.

I'm so happy you enjoyed this. 8-)

Hi DaMommy,

I just love reading your work because you're so good at writing all kinds of great things. I wish I was as talented as you are. The picture with the poem written by the weasel is wonderful. Another thing I like to see is your beautiful picture with its great smile. You sure are looking great at 49 years and 276 months. I'll turn 79 on April 29th. Whew!
