Hi there,

I liked this one a lot. Love observational pieces and real life. This is quite a simply written piece, devoid of 'poetic rhetoric' and all the better for it.

to quench your insatiable thirst - can you quench an insatiable thirst? lol

and then we'll compose a rhyme.
- you need to close off the speech marks here.

All the best

LOL - I couldn't figure out how this was going anywhere
near quiet!!! It seemed like a raucous good time
was destined to end with "exhaustion" (LOL)

Well done - and definitely a strong contender :-)

No, well, when you're surrounded, it is exhausting... but peace and quiet that night. (Then a week to get over it, before it starts all again). Thanks for your fun review and generous rating. Warmest regards.

They are cuties. I enjoyed your poem. Good job with the rhyme. I like how you took everyday activities and made them into a rhyming poem. The lines have great flow. I like the 'things' you included about the grandkids--the cookies they will bake, the lemonade, the kisses they gave you, and just the sweet behavior enjoyed by you. Good job with the prompt I like quiet, too. Best wishes in the contest.
