Very nicely done. No spag and no issues. Tho it is potentially a boring subject for many readers, you kept the interest going with your character descriptions and dialogue. Enjoyed reading it.

Excellent political fiction. I really enjoyed this. It is very well written with a smooth flow. I felt no distractions. Your message is superb as well. We tend to overlook elections for school boards when they are likely of great importance and relevant to our daily lives. Thanks for sharing. Chris

Excellent work. It's a pleasure to read such a well-formed and well-edited piece. I found just one error but because everything else was so darned good, it gave me a shock.

This ought to be
--I'd go off like this every day it seems.
I'm sure you know that and this was just a slip of the finger, so I'm going with my gut-choice of a sixer.

This was a terrific read and it contained a moral of the story that should not be ignored. The local elections are in a sense that will directly affect one personally.
I live in Arizona, heavily Republican state. Our last cycle, people would not vote off party and elected a loon to the state superintendent of education position. She has been an absolute disaster. We had experienced her antics and unprofessionalism on a local level. Her challenger was a Democratic candidate, ASU professor who would have been phenomenal. She won out by a thin edge, strictly by party affiliation. Then came the recall efforts, which again failed. I walked the neighborhood, Friday night ball game bleachers trying to collect signatures and was astonished at the number of people who didn't know who she was or refused to sign the recall petition. The majority had school age children who will be affected by her incompetence. Mind blowing. Great job on this, and I didn't realize it was fiction until reading your notes.

Thank you so much, Mary, for this great review and 6-star rating. I also appreciate your taking the time to tell me about this educational leader who doesn't deserve the office. Arizona children and parents will suffer the consequences unfortunately. Rod

An interesting commentary with a worthy message. It was well written and flowed well. This read as a factual account rather than a flash fiction story though. I didn't spoil my interest or enjoyment of the piece. Good luck with your entry. Kind regards Helen
