All hinges upon attitude, never culture or color. Divisions for people come through selfishness in most cases. Love the horse , dog, and cat expression.

Nice message and a fun poem to read. I like the comparison to the animals in the poem. I have seen your writings before and I enjoy reading them.

Hi Hi there Marijke, well my friend, what a great start to your booklet of poems ' life's observations'.. I love this verse.. Its quirky, easy to follow in its meaning and has one very very grand purpose.. making mention of what humans are all about.... what a fabulous way to approach the topic Marijke. I salute your final verse my friend.
'let's stop the fighting and let's call a truce,
we all belong to the one human race
we are all the same within'.

If I had six stars to offer, I would send them your way.. great work ... you're off to a flying start here Marijke.. can't wait to read the next ....
loads of happy smiles from mel xxx

"Thanks so much, Mel, for those virtual six stars, I appreciate them all, shining brightly in my mind. I'm pleased you liked my approach, my friend. I wanted to keep it simple, but get the message across, which I think I did. Thank you again... and I can't wait to write the next one, I think! Boy, this will be a challenge, but it has certainly got my muse working overtime! Warmest regards, Mel, and miles of happy Tassie smiles, Marijke :o) xxxxx

Hi there,

I really liked this piece a lot. Very well thought out and with a great message to set side differences that aren't really there in the first place.

Very well penned piece.

Your poem is a reflection on the failure of human beings to get over their racial conflicts that have robbed peace and harmony from the world. You have made a forceful plea to people to rise above petty matters that only belittle their intelligence.

What absolute truth you profess through this poem. Here we are, so content with our 'knowledge', some superiority complex by virtue of the fact that we are creature with a developed brain - yet we are so illogical, so dumb! Powerfully inept!
I love that you attribute each stanza to a differnt animal and the human interaction with them, only to finalise with a reference to the interaction (a sad one) of people between themselves.
The font value adds to the quality of the piece too.
Thankyou for sharing!
Jo :)

I enjoyed your poem. It tells of a super message that is well developed. At first, I thought it was to be all animals your were describing. Then you threw in the verses about people [yes, I know we are animals]. Your lines make many valid points. Good job and thanks for sharing and caring. Write on!
