Excellent work. Very sad. My Mother wants to join my Dad so she says this everyday, and it makes me so sad but I understand her feelings. This was beautifully expressed and hopeful for joy to return in the next place.

I knew the minute I clicked on this it was for Gayle. She was also a good friend and confident of mine and yes many times she had stated she was ready, such was her faith in what she believed. Her death was still a surprise to me. We had talked often but the last four months of her life I could not get in touch with her. She wonderful person and an incredible talent.

Thank you, Dean. I just read her last post as I was drawn to her portfolio this afternoon. I reviewed it just in case Jeff might occasionally check it out. I rarely promoted anything to the level I did this poem, but our dearly departed friend is surely worth it.

This is a great poem. I think in line 3 "You" should be capitalized. Also, "Your" in the last line of the fourth stanza. And maybe "You" and "Your" in the second and last lines of the last stanza.
Other than that, this is a beautiful poem. Nice work.
