Exactly right.
Very well done.
I have seen the incense ceremonies of the far North and this is exact ally right as to what happens during the visions.
Nicely done

Wow, thank you so much, Barb, that is such a compliment. I was unsure about posting this because I thought no one would understand what I was trying to say. I am so pleased you said that, thank you so much! :) Sandra

I like the spirits in this poem and the emotions of it all. Good visual and sound imagery.

I enjoyed your take on this Sandra.

Well done
The random thoughts seemed to ride
Upon the theme of someone
Who sees life restored in a moment

The image seems to be of a Native American
Finding the last moments with the Spirits
Seeing that all does flow as known
From the touch of the Holy Spirit now known

The multi-layered artwork could certainly inspire many themes, Sandra.

Good to see you posting after a quiet spell.

I would prefer this excellent free verse to be presented in far shorter lines, and subsequent shorter stanzas to allow the reader to pause and ponder more at dramatic moments, and maybe also be clear of all punctuation that is easily substituted by thoughtful line breaks, but that's just me. ;-)

Nice scattering of random rhyme, and excellent flow in parts for free verse.

Good alliteration and imagery.

A very entertaining read on his contemplations and eventual awareness.

Cheers, Ray xx

Thank you so much, Ray. These words kept coming and I was trying to put them down as I 'heard' them, but I have never written anything like this before so was at a loss in how to put them down. I see what you mean though and will mess around some more in my MS Word doc. Thank you, my friend, for the really lovely review. I have to admit, I very nearly didn't post it, I was so unsure of how it would be received. Yes, I have been quiet, apart from this one, my mind has been quite dry, hopefully I will start again now. Thank you for missing me! :) Sandra xxx

I'm entranced by the vision you see in this image.
It's as if you have traveled through time and space, too.
I love the language. And the spirituality.
This is as much a story as it is a poem.
You seem to have jumped across an ocean, Sandra.
You have inhabited another soul.
You have understood another being.

I see more in this image than I saw before.

Peace, Lee

I have sat here reading your review and reading it again. I just didn't know what to say to you, but, thank you so very much, Lee. This is the best review I have ever received, ever. The six stars are secondary to what you have said, but I thank you so much for them too. :) Sandra xxx

This is a very well written and expressed poem, Sandra. I enjoyed the content of the piece as well as the form used. Imagery brings in the reader to participate. Marilyn

If this was random thoughts, it sure came together for a great poem. This was very moving and thought provoking. Great job with a hard one.

Hi Sandra ~

Re your Picture This poem, "He Opened Up His Eyes" ~~~

WOW! Sandra!

This is dynamite! I had to settle on the stanza below, since they were all equally interesting, profound, and
visual... the kind I like ....

"Then suddenly 'twas clear, the reason he was here
brought before the spirits on his own.
Up on the mountain high, with the eagles in the sky
brought together some normality
of family and home."

I especially like your "eagles in the sky" part and about bringing some normality of family and home..." I read it more than once, and still think it is profound and how you captured so much in it.

Thank you for sharing a bit of what goes on in that brain of yours! lol! I want some more!

Blessings,
Nan:))

Dear the font is so very small it is so hard to read. It was a real struggle. Would you please make it larger so each can enjoy. By the way the grandkids want you writing more and more. They just love your work. I referred you.

Hi, Angie, I have gone and enlarged it, I agree with you it was too small, the font is much smaller in the advanced format than it is in the normal. I must remember that. Thanks for reading my stories to your grandchildren. I am in the middle of writing the Christmas story in rhyme, I've already written it in prose, but will have to do it in three parts as it is so long. It will be illustrated and turned into a bigger book. I am writing it now because the publishers are asking for Christmas poems now for children, so I'm sorry it will be out of season!! :) Sandra
