I love how you put a mermaids up in the clouds, making the universe an ocean. This fantasy created many vivid visions in my head. Fluffy,puffs, notes, boat your sparse use of rhyme lends a simplicity and elegant style to something that I will now enjoy in my seascape. I can see her smiling and singing, even the seagulls, which are usually obnoxious scavengers, are smiling, and instead of annoying, their calls are musical. A treat for the senses!

I love how the mermaid, a creature of the sea, decided to explore the heavens.
Excellent imagery: "soft, fluffy white puffs/surround her fish tail..."
I like the idea of seagulls flying beside the bouncing boat "...in a white wave..."

Lovely and sweet fantasy poem which would charm any little girl.

She's quite unusual, this special mermaid. She travels by air! High above the ocean, seagulls her companions.

Oh, I love mermaid poems! You delivered a lovely one with some amazing imagery. What delight, those words:

she sails on her magic ship
a mermaid who loves the clouds
a sea spirit roams the heavens

Loved the use of alliterations and other poetic devices.
