Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Excellent recap with the new details and then the transition into the new material to catch us up on the story.

How fortunate you were to get your purse back with all the contents. Your guardian angel seems like she is a wonderful lady, going the extra mile to care for a stranger.

There you go with that teaser at the end making us want the next chapter.

Thanks for the six and the high praise. It lifted me up just when I need it--just finished an irritating phone call from my daughter. LOL

It sounds as if your spirit guides are with you. Must be a reward for good behavior. I see you're doing well in the prompt contests. Nice work there too.

I like your statement "panic is a wasted emotion", so true. The universe does provide guardian angels like the lady who found your purse. As usual, I enjoyed reading your memoir and am looking forward to the next chapter.

Your purse is a treasure, it happened
to me once, I left my purse in the cart
in the parking lot, I went back minutes
later, there was nothing in the cart, but
somebody had returned to the store.
everything was there.I don't blame you
for being scared.

Thanks, Bryana, for sharing your story. Seems there are more good folks out there than the media would have us believe.:-)

I have the same reaction as everyone else - how could you be so careless with something as important as a purse!

However, I do give you credit for not freaking out and trusting in spirit. Who knows, maybe the sidetracking prevented you and your loved ones from something more tragic. I'm so glad it was recovered. Maybe that lady owed you a karmic debt. Hugs, Lou

I love the way you think, Lou. I had a meltdown today. Will write about it later.

Hahaha! You're kids sound so blameless for some reason. That had to help. Wow. That had to be harrowing. Bad enough to lose it on familiar ground. I've left my wallet at the liquor store down the street and felt my world collapse. A foreign country. JEESH. I'd be imagining a lifetime in jail or worse. Cool you got it back. Seems I can jump in anywhere no problem. Okay, hurry up and finish so I can buy it. mikey

You're so sweet and funny. If I ever publish this, I'll have to change the names of those still living. May even so it under a pseudonym.

Yay! Happy ending for the lost purse saga...nice to know honest people still exist.
But trouble is on the horizon, I see. :-(
Also, I did like the extra details in your revision. :-)

Now, that's a story that restores one's faith in humanity. A wonderful woman. Did you stay in touch?

I knew it, just knew it. There's a storm coming to this story. Already doesn't sound good. I'm figuring that Jeff is in the center of it.

Good episode. Didn't notice any irregularities. It's the end of the marking period and I have had with late work and grading papers. My eyes hurt and I need to buy some new pens. These guys just aren't trying. Just got to survive 12 more weeks. June 2nd can't come soon enough. On a more positive note, I think a few of my students have real chance of winning a gold, silver, or bronze on the National Spanish Exam. I didn't get even a fourth place winner last year.

Looking for to finding out what happened on Catalina Island....

Guardian angels have to move on and help others. Yep, a storm is brewing.
I do hope one of your students wins an award. Things like that make it worthwhile.

I'd hate to be teaching now with all the distractions offered to students via technology.

Shari, another exciting chapter. It's bad enough losing one's purse in the town you live in let alone on an offshore island.

Thank goodness you kept your cool, when all others around you were losing theirs. Daughters can be such old ladies, eh? LOL.

Great job with this and I'm glad the purse was returned with no losses, but this isn't the worst?

Ach it's gonna be bad then.

Most interesting write.

Thanks, Gloria. What happened on our last day really incurred Frank's wrath.
