This is a lively way to add plot to picture. An auditory tribute which paints such a vivid picture.
Very nice.
God bless and my best,

Sandra, I enjoyed the lovely musical composition your child played on the wooden fence with her stick. (aabb) rhyme-scheme and word-choice made it rise above the rest.

Music fills the summer air
With the poem that flows so well
Then to end with sour notes
Those pesky cats sing too sharp
Well done with the poem
It sings along the road
Still hear those cats
So rude to come against the grain

I could certainly feel the rhythm as I read through this, Sandra. Perfect meter, as always. The cute, surprise ending put a huge smile on my face. Hugs, Lou

I smiled at your image interpretation that evolved in not a symphony of sound that involved the whole neighborhood. Nice use of onomatopoeia in the rat tat tat, and also it's suggestion in both musical instruments and the din. Done in a Sonnet using aabb rhyme scheme. A delightful piece.

Very nice, Sandra. Your rhyme and rhythm worked well for me. I have to say when it came to the end with the cats, I had to read again. For some reason, it kind of threw me off. But a beautiful picture and great attempt. I know I could not do so well. Drew xx

This was written for the Picture This fortnightly challenge, Drew, and it wasn't an easy one this time, at least I didn't think it was, lol! The cats at the end was just added as a giggle. Have you read any of the others? You should join the group, it's all good fun, I think there are about 50 of us now. Thank you, my friend, for reading mine, and sorry I threw you!! : ) xsx Sandra

I would love to join, but I want to try to finish my novel and edit it. It needs a lot of work and with summer coming, my writing time will be cut in half. Thanks for the invite. Drew xx

Good luck with the editing, I know that can be quite hard work. The group will still be here when you are done. :) xx

Hi sandra, love this wonderful contribution to the excellent picture this page, great rhyming and brilliant rhythm that reads almost lyrical, the flow too is outstanding my friend.

Thank you, Eric, I thought it was hard this time! Have you seen the next one? It's brilliant and I can't wait to get my teeth into it, a story in a poem coming up, and I hope to read one from you too!! :) Sandra xxx

Just finished my latest WW1 poem Sandra, putting it on soon.

I absolutely love this. The poem makes a perfect accompaniment to the photo. It's clever and joyous. This piece captures a child's spirit and imagination. The ending is delightful. Well done!

Wow. Two consecutive messages on my message board write from this photo. Both totally different, but both equally well penned.
Sandra, this was wonderful and great poetry stemming from the photo. John

Thank you so much, John. I did have a bit of trouble getting my head around this one, the challenge was quite hard. The next one is going to be a good one to write about! Watch this space in two weeks time!! :) Sandra. xxx

That was cute, I like the way you held your genre in this photo contest. You have a way of communicating to my inner child.
It gave it a happier musical beat than the last poem I read in this challenge.
Nice work Sandra.
