Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Having your purse stolen is everyone's worst nightmare, so well done you for staying so calm. I have to confess to being rather paranoid with mine when I'm out, and always have my bag across my shoulders with the zip shut and the over buckle securely in place. Having said that, I didn't even think about it when my hubby was alive and by my side!

Apologies for taking so long to review, but I've been awaiting the installation of my internet satellite dish, so had to work off my pathetic 1 GB a week dongle in the meantime - seriously cut off from the world until now!

I look forward to reading on.

What is a dongle? Sounds sexual. LOL. I feel lost without my internet connection too. I want to hear the rest of your story.
Thanks for the six on this nail-biting story--at least to everyone else. I learned it's a waste of time to worry. :-)

    will check out the spag.

Again, you remain calm while everyone else worries about things that may or may not happen.

Excellent use of dialog to move the story forward and give personality to the characters (I know, real people) as you give us a glimpse into your life.

Thanks for the detailed comments, Debbie, and making the effort to catch up with the story. About two or three more chapters to go.

ooooo Not good. A passport is definitely needed. So what is the deal with Jeff and dad? LOL I would love to read more on that. Dad's always have a sense of predator-territory dominance when it comes to their princess. Losing one's cards...been in that boat. Made it a huge habit not to do that again. Especially in foreign land. Great read.

Thanks, Nicci. You're right about predator-territory dominance, but Hubby's big worry was that Jeff didn't have any job skills. He'd never make enough to support a family. He's the artsy type who lives on free lance work.

Gotcha...I think you've inspired me to write something. I need to work on it. Thank you dear.

Hi, Shari.
Your trip sounded great up until the loss of your wallet. Yikes! What an uncomfortable position to be in. Your calmness is amazing. I'd be freaking out and so flustered. You ended the chapter well, leaving the reader wanting more.
Bye, my friend!
Hugs
Rosalyne :)

My husband and daughter freak out enough. It's hard to remain calm with that kind of behavior around you.

Your attitude towards the credit card situation is something that takes years to own. At least for me, it did. While Frank, Nichole and Jeff are frantic( even with the passport situation) you managed a calm presence, and that's the best place to be in when a crisis shows up.

Thanks, Muffins. My daughter refreshed my memory on this, so I have to back up a little in the next post.

Oh my! Once again I am dangling by a thread with worry and concern as I think of the lost of one's purse. We live our lives from the inside of our pocketbooks. On the other hand, I am to think that Jeff has matured with age and Nicole has reverted back to her younger years with regards to her ill-stated comments. However, this is a wonderful read.

Thanks for the insightful remark. I hadn't thought of that. Thumbs up for Jeff.

Just a reminder to capitalize Hubby when not used with a conjunction or whatever those things are called. Am I making sense? Example: My hubby -vs- Hubby

Why would anyone buy such an expensive condo if it didn't even have a washer and dryer located conveniently in the apartment!

Sometimes the universe is telling us we aren't supposed to be doing something ... Hugs, Lou

Kind of my thought too. All that money and no washer and dryer-- unbelievable. She and Jeff wash their clothes separately. Guess she doesn't trust him to separate the colors and whites or pick the right temperature. Thanks for the clue on Hubby. I see your point. A proper name without a possessive in front.

If you want to be in show business, there's no choice. Nichole gave up her chase after fame. Hubby didn't. She supports him!

What a bummer! To lose your purse. Just dreadful. Next chapter tells what happened at the police station. There still are Good Samaritans around. I'm hopeful. Nothing here to make me think otherwise.

Wow! This was not the news I was expecting. A new house? I'm confused. She balked at buying a $300,000 house but bought a $500,000 one. This did not compute. I got mine for just under a $100,000, but it's 100 years old and in outstanding shape. The mortgage was far cheaper than to rent a lesser place around here. And this is a depressed area. Coal mines and gas wells are shutting down. Walmart is the state's largest employer after the state itself. How ever did they manage? At those prices, it is even possible to visit California. Talk about being fleeced. Just this week I was through the moon because I finally found a vet and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg when I needed to take my cat in. Poor thing had blown an gasket in his anal gland sack. Just needed an antibiotic. Cost me less than $100. My old vet wouldn't let me out of the office for less than $120. I digress. Sorry. Still the math and the condo just don't add up.

Your excitement along with yours and Franks misgivings are very apparent.

I know what you mean about having to go to the laundromat. I hate it. Hopefully, I will get my own washer/dryer very soon. In the winter I have to really pay attention to the weather to make sure I can get my laundry done the bad weather hits. So far, I have been okay.

No spag or oddities this chapter. Keep them coming....

I was wrong about the price. Checked in with Nichole when we called today. The owner of the older house wanted $650,000. I'll get around with a correction some day.

Ouch! An attack in the anal gland. Sounds painful. I go to the least expensive vet too. Only difference is the old building where he works as opposed to fancy digs.

While I am pleased Nichole got a new condo, I would be freaking out if I lost my wallet. Finding it doesn't seem possible. Damn, I don't even have credit cards and I know I would be having a heart attack. I hope it all works out, but I am not holding my breath. this is definitely a good news/bad news post. Great work with this one.
