I know or read all of the poets in your group, but the ten or twelve that I read on a regular basis make a talented crew that will definitely keep each other to task. Thanks for the pleasure of another fine poem. :-)

There are some really great poems written in this group, and yes, it does make me work that much harder. This picture was the hardest one that I've done, so I am pleased you enjoyed it, Ric, thank you! :) Sandra xx

Okay, I saw this picture with Dean's entry. Is that the same music-minded nomad who had the run in with the village of Hamlin? Kidding. Looks like you did justice to the picture prompt.

LOL! I never thought of him, now that would have made a brilliant story. There should be more than 50 more of these poems coming all with this picture. I have just read Deans too, he is clever with his presentation as well as his writing. I wish I could do what he manages to do. Thanks, Red, for reading and reviewing mine, I'm glad you liked it. :) Sandra xx

Hi Sandra, what a bittersweet story that had me walking the streets looking for the music man... reminded me of Sammy DAvis Jr's, Mr. Bo Jangles! ;)
Mr. Bo Jangles
Mr. Bo Jangles...
Dance! ;)
well done, and I enjoyed each happy AND sad word... loved it. Great imaginative word play and what a story

Thank you, Cat. You are the second one to say that about, Bo Jangles, I had forgotten about that, goodness, that goes back a few years. Glad you liked my take!! :) Sandra xx

You did a fine job for this picture challenge, Sandra :) That's a fun idea to have him visit every year at the same time. So sad that he now sends his signature brand of music from heaven. I can't help thinking of Bert from Mary Poppins. I saw your poem was featured on the front page and I can see why. Well done!

Thank you so much, Joy. Yes, I was surprised to see it there. I have been reading loads of the takes this afternoon, they are really clever. None have come across the same, and so far only one, Dean, has written a take on Singing in the Rain, though his is, in the Pain, lol!! Thanks again, my friend. :) Sandra xx

the seventh I have read and all are so different on the take of just one picture.
Yours flows so beautifully with a sing/song rhythm that makes it fun and easy to read.

This is so very beautiful. The best one I've read yet. You really brought this picture to life with your well penned words. I think it is sad so many schools have cut their music programs to save money. I think all children should have the chance to develop an appreciation of it. Great poem, my friend~Debbie

Aww, thank you so much, Debbie, that is so nice of you to give me one of your 6 stars. Thank you, I am sending your a big bear hug! I'm really so pleased you liked my take on the picture, it took me ages! I can't understand the schools either, how are our children supposed to appreciate the arts if they are not taught these things? Sad. Thanks again, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

Sandra, this is such a lovely story poem that you made up
to go with this picture. I like the idea of someone coming
around and bringing music into our lives. I enjoy reading
these different poems.

We still call him our 'Music Man'
he sends his melody,
by raining notes down on us with
angelic harmony.
I love this- you've obviously worked hard on it and it shows... so apt for the lovely artwork - well penned, Sandra.

Thank you so much, Margaret. Yes, it took me ages this time. I must have changed it so many times, it was nothing like it started out by the time I'd finished, lol! Thank you so much for the 6 stars, my friend, that is really kind of you. :) Sandra. xx

This is a wonderful write, like you I found it a little hard to compose. With Gods help we did it my friend.
As I was reading your poem
I thought of the dancer Mr. Bo jangles and the song by Sammy Davis Junior.
Thank you for sharing.
