I like that you gave so many different ways people show mercy. I liked the opening lines, however, I think every woman should have the right to abortions if they so chose. I use to go to planned parenthood, for other things, and those people picketing outside were always annoying. They don't know why I'm there, my story, etc but there they are judging me. To me that's not mercy but they opposite. I'm at planned parenthood and suddenly they think they know me. That's annoying. Sorry, I just kind of went off on my own thing there, but your poem was very well written. Great job and good luck in the contest

Showing mercy in every day situations is a wonderful act of faith in compliance with God's direction, (for the quality of mercy is not strained, it dropped as a gentle rain from heaven upon the place beneath). "through the works of mercy, they show love in action their reward is God's blessing." Great job of people demonstrating and exercising the true tenets of faith.

This is a very well thought out poem with great rhyme with all the examples of how mercy can be expressed toward other human beings. And, especially like the last stanza. Because that should be taken into consideration by everyone, unless they are an atheist and don't believe in God. And your author notes that explains very much the principles that we should apply to our everyday life. Think not everyone here will agree with emphasis on that of the Catholic prospective.Though it still shows works of mercy that we can apply to our lives to enrich others and ourselves by being to closer to God/ Jesus teachings.Probably like you, mystery writer were taught 3 persons in one God, Father, Son and the Holy Ghost, this great spirit to inspire us even more..
.Being kind and showing mercy to one another is something we should all strive to do & Thanks for reminding us here. And, so Wish I had a 6 to give....Though will definitely bookmark this.

It matters not to God who is famous and who isn't, do His will is what He asks, imitate Christ, cops His good works, whatever we do we do unto Him, good or bad, "if you did not do it unto the least of these, you did not do it unto me" Matthew 24:45, excellent work, good works will not get us into heaven only faith in the work of the cross can do that, beautifully written, you must be proud of your family, great language, the articulate narrative is smooth and well rhymed in aabb, well done, blessings, Roy

Hi,
A great poem on different aspects of mercy.
