Each of us have a favorite food/dessert. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interesting read. Good luck in your contest.

Well, this was certainly an interesting way to incorporate food into a autobiographical story concerning your life, from Alpha to Omega, Mystery Writer. It's nice to know that food has become safer, an not altogether bland. Although slightly less savory I suspect, given your closing statement.
A very unique approach. Very straightforward, emotionally driven, and genuine.
Good luck in the contest.

Oh my. I love this. It is wonderful, clever, original and really quite genius. What a way to explain life and how I identify especially with the last line, now that I'm am growing older and not savoring it much. Excellent. Had I the power I would proclaim you the contest winner now-LOL.

Author,
You surely have a unique approach to this Enjoyment of Eating contest and
I enjoyed every bite...I mean season...I mean entree ...no I meant to say
every word and every reflection and memory of what certain foods represent
to you. Very creative and a pleasure to read...for me it was those days of:
"Motherhood: roosting days with four kids under ten...cereal cartons, pepperoni pizza, plastic forks, and paper plates. Foods were frozen, parboiled, portable, and recyclable. My heart, however, was soaked in syrupy spoonful for winter colds, my hands, garnished with running noses. Love was grand. "
Want to tango?

Hi there,
A enjoyed this piece. The writing was very warm and inviting. I liked the structure you employed for the piece. Somewhere between poetry and prose. Very effective.

A wonderful journey through the different stages of life and the food that became a part of those experiences. A lot of these images most of us can relate to, and smile with. Great job, and good luck in the contest,
Rhonda

What analogy you have written. You have created a feast from childhood to growing old and many of us can identify with your sentiments. You have a great imagination, well done.

You have chosen a very creative way to include the topic of food in your piece of non fiction. I love the set up of introducing the stages of your life and choosing the accompanying food for each stage. In addition you are able to introduce an emotional component to supplement the stage and the food. This is a very nicely crafted piece of non fiction that includes food. Well done
