As I read your story I remembered a song I used to love to sing in Sunday School. "We are climbing Jacob's ladder, we are climbing Jacob's ladder...every rung gets higher higher...soldier's of the cross. Gosh I love it when good and fun memories come back to me :)

Thanks Joy, I hate to spoil your "joy" (pun there) but that song has a bad theology. Salvation is the gift of God, earned for us by Jesus on the cross. The song gives a bad impression of working out way to Heaven, in my view. Thanks for writing and commenting, Dennis

This is an interesting, informative, brief Bible study addressing the importance of belief and priorities. The reference to the story of Jacob's dream ties the Old Testment and New together in your lesson

Hi there,
The story of Nathaniel and his prayer under the fig tree is an inspiring one to be sure. That Jesus is aware of our daily activities should be enough for us to be concerned about how we spend our time. This is a great example of how Jesus desires us to get to know him.

Can't spend our time any better than meditating on the word of God like Nathaniel. It brought a visit from Jesus and the promise of deeper revelations. Thank you for reviewing, Dennis
