I think this is my favorite so far. The verse really flows well...

What do I have, with which to pay?
He's shown His grace, revealed His way.

My favorite lines

This is a beautiful interpretation of this artwork, Roy. I love these lines:

I have one gift (my naked will),
one life to give (one heart to fill).

Have a blessed day, my friend~Debbie

Roy;
-Opinion: a marvelous piece of writing Roy and very typical as the expertise and specialism of your particular type of writing. I was very taken on how you used your poetry to enhance the picture so well and complementing it exceptionally.
Truly you're a poet divine and how you right thing so elegantly by dispersing, in a roundabout way, the main concepts and circumventing it to come back to it at a later point in time of your writing. I really love this piece.
- Format/layout: Your rhythmic writing was in iambic tetrameter and along with the timing your writing flow smoothly throughout the piece. Not one of your rhyming words were forced nor labored and helpful in the rhythmic flow of your writing. your rhyming was also contingent and supportive to each of your lines which is a reason why they were not forced. You complemented the picture with your writing. You use black print on a grade black ground to give the picture that outstanding presence.
- thank you for sharing and posting this and may the good Lord be with you always my dear friend.
Alex

Wow, my Dad would have seen the Rose Of Sharon here as well Roy. My mother too. Daddy sang a song about Jesus Rose of Sharon. He was a soloist choir leader at our Church. I miss those good old days. This is a beautiful poem. Loved it actually. Well done. xsx Nancy

This work has reached the exceptional level

Selfless deeds of immense giving, one glorious act so pure in the sacrifice. Judged and cursed but without fear, the Rose of Sharon shed a tear, not for himself, but gave Himself as the innocent lamb. He was slain for all my sins, now I have one life to give and hearts to fill! Beautifully written and described, the perfect gift!ð???

Roy - This is yet another heartfelt poem and tribute to the beauty of the Lord. My yard is full of Rose of Sharon. I love it so ... And so do the bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Your poem is love and full of wisdom. As usual.
God bless and my best,
Relda

I like your version of this picture. It gets to be overwhelming when the same picture shows up a bazillion times and the poems all seem to mesh into each other. I like that you waited a few days before posting. I doubt that was your intention, but it just feels like that to me.

I'm always grateful for your moments of prayer and praise. It's like you fix my wounded soul and send me on my way a bit stronger and focusing on my faith. Thanks for that :)

That is beautiful. Lovely rhyme and meter. I love that 2nd and 3rd stanza but the 3rd is my favorite I think

This Rose was crushed; a Lamb was slain,
His blood was shed, to cleanse my stain.

That is just gorgeous writing
