I love this poem and the "sunny" warm feel of the image
combined with your words. Sunny wintry days do lift
our spirits. These lines are especially appealing:
"Those sunbeams flooding through the panes
into each crevice of a room
restore my spirits instantly.
Depression ends with vanished gloom."

Thank you so much, Marilyn. It snowed all day here, and I would welcome some sunshine. I appreciate your pointing out what you liked best. Rod

Oh yes, I can certainly relate to this poem. I love the snow and it is never more beautiful than when the sun comes out after a few days of storm. You've created a beautiful piece to match the lovely picture and the whole effect is wonderful. Good luck in the contest. This is a splendid entry.

This is great. I know some people get very down with winter and rainy days too with no sunshine. I'm not like that except I don't like wearing bright colors on cloudy days. Well back to the poem, you did great with "curl my lips into a smile." Great wording right there. My favorite line of the poem.

This poem strikes a timely chord. I've shoveled more than my share of snow this winter. Your rhyme, meter, and messate flow well. Since you are generally using punctuation, I would have put a comma after 'smile.'

Great meter and rhyming - but more importantly
GREAT expression of how amazing a day of full
on sunshine feels in the height of a winter run
of gray gloomy weather :-)

Just thinking about all that sunshine made me smile :-)

A nice little rhymed poem about winter and sunshine, that really touches your being and makes you smile. Often spring is what makes people smile, but winter
is your friend. Love the winter picture and the orange hue of sun. Nicely done!
