As a mother, Emily is abnormal. Most mothers advise their children to avoid dangerous choices that lead to dangerous lifestyles and situations. Emily does the exact opposite, she praises Nancy's deadly past and her great deeds she accomplished during that time. Emily is a great model for Nancy. She encourages her to face her past head on and finish what she started. In regards to Nancy, you expanded her relatability by showing her dependence on her mother. "There are some days when there is no one else you can talk to." Great job.

Thank you so much for your review of this chapter. Yes, Emily is a rare parent as she supports her children and their unique talents. Of course, it's a young adult book, and I try and make it more what a kid would want their parent to be, but I also based Emily a bit on my mother who has always been a great supporter of my crazy endeavors!
Have a great weekend,
Rhonda

Okay. so mom's on board for her to tell her stories because mom believes in her little girl. I know it will be more complicated than that. What I really liked was the way you ended with mom making her recall how she got involved with the Daredevil Girls to begin with. Hurry and get better so we can get the next chapter.

What a dilemma for Nancy. Now that she has a safe haven and a satisfying job, will she be inveigled back into a life of danger ?

Hmmm, she may end up having to do both. Thanks for reading and keeping up with the story,
Rhonda

It's an absorbing story narrated very well. The conversation between the mother and daughter appears so natural. Every mother wants her unmarried daughters to get married and they often do not know how to wriggle out of such situations. The chapter has ended putting the readers in suspense.

So, you fought evil in the supernatural realm, Rhonda, or is that just the name of your childhood group? Lol
Great chapter, Rhonda. Here we find out a little more of the personal battle Nancy struggles with to live a normal existence despite her past as leader of the Daredevil Girls. Her mother is instrumental in the revelations via telephone conversation which probes at Nancy's defences. She struggles with relationships, she hides in Miltonville to avoid the past, and she feels guilt and apprehension about the harm her activities have caused others in the past. But, more importantly we are given a strong hint that her mother may have passed on her gifts and legacy to Nancy without Nancy knowing it. She seems to be making a determined push to get her either back into action, or to starting a family. That conundrum is yet to be revealed. Another fine and entertaining chapter.

I'm sorry I'm so late getting to this review. I am very pleased with the six star rating, and the very detailed review. Such reviews help me to design further chapters! It is and was, much appreciated!
Happy Valentine's Day,
Rhonda

Thanks for the pleasure of reading another of your fine Daredevil Girls from Bunker Hill chapters. It sounds to me that your dad was a very wise man. And the messages he shared weren't easily forgotten. Great job. :-)

Thank you so much for you response to my previous chapter. I'm sorry I am just now responding, but I was in an accident that kept me offline for quite a while. I'm still on in limited bursts, but I do appreciate this review,
Rhonda

G'day Pardna. Beautiful work mate. I love your easy dialogue style in your work, it's just super (pardon the pun.)
"She even brushed off Victor Brewer, the incredibly cute History teacher from across the hall, " (Every school must have a Victor Brewer! lol.)
"If this was a salesman, he was going to wish he had picked someone else to pester. " (Ya gotta love thos buggers!)
""Hmmm," Emily responded. "They are smart. And while we are on the subject, when are you going to give me some grand-kids?" ( I used to hate it when mum always said that! She used to set me up with women just hoping.)
"Just saying," Emily continued, "you aren't getting any younger." (Hahahaha!)
"She quickly finished the last bite(Perhaps I'd change bite to spoonful) of her cereal and placed her bowl in the sink. "
"Teaching is a wonderful profession," Emily answered carefully." (Yes indeed it is top of the charts in my book.)
"What?" Nancy asked. "The fight of good against evil?" (Yeah, well, that is also at the top but I'm a chicken lol.)
It is funny that I never thought that reading about a school teachers chat with her mother would be exciting, but this one is. I love this story and where it is heading.
A well deserved six stars.
Get well soon.
Cheers Fez

Thank you, Fez. What a wonderful 6 star rating to warm my day!
I love and appreciate the way you make very detailed remarks on each section. It helps to figure out the good and the not so good. These are the best kinds of reviews.
Take care,
Rhonda

I really like where this story is going. You've done an excellent job bringing out the guilt inflicted my a mother as well as that push they are able to give to get us going in the right direction. I think you got the mom right on the nose. I'm looking forward to reading what these girls did.

Thank you for the very helpful review, and I'm sorry for the lateness in the response, but I was in an accident that kept me away from the computer quite a bit. I'm still only allowed short bursts on here. Thanks again,
Rhonda

A very good chapter. Yes, you can't stop what you are destined to do. I like the reference to fighting evil as the oldest destiny or purpose in the world.

Nothing like a good sit down chat with your mom, especially one as encouraging as Emily was for Nancy. Still typical mom though, wanting her to marry and have her some grandkids. lol
Sounds like we are going to find out some more history of the team when Nancy remembers how they first started.
Good job, Rhonda. Have a great day!

Thank you, Karen, for the review, even if I am late getting to the response. This is one of my mother's favorite chapters as well. I had to have a nod to the moms out there!
Happy Valentine's Day,
Rhonda
