Hi there Teri
Sweetie, that is a superb story. I am positive I won't vote for Mrs. C; however I am concerned for the homeless veterans and the disadvantaged who through circumstances got where they are rather than laziness. You have done a magnificent job with your children and your story in my mind is a 6er.

Yes, Teri, your story did touch my heart - very deeply. In fact, it made my day. In my humble opinion, people like Timothy are the true heroes in this world. At a time when too many people are more concerned with noticing what people are buying with their food stamps, rather than understanding the plight of people in need, Timothy's story is truly inspirational. You do a good job of setting up the action in your story with what first appears to be your typical, run of the mill conversation between mother and son. Your story is at once touching, heartbreaking and inspiring. Great job and good luck with the contest! I will be rooting for you. Bill

This is a lovely piece of writing with excellent use of language. It takes you on a story and it draw you in until you have finished the piece. A brilliant piece of writing, I look forward to reading more of your work.

It certainly is worth sharing. It's a wonderful event. I'm so glad you have sons to be proud, as do I. Sons are special, aren't they? Thank you for posting this so I could read it.

Hi Teri7
what a wonderful heart warming story, it just goes to show that there are still some people out there that were brought up to have empathy with a fellow human being, what a wonderful son you have you should be very proud of your self as well as him.
Great,
Brenda

The bible says KJV - And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. Sounds like your son got the message and uses it well. It's a great story, Teri - and it makes me happy to know that these are still some people in the world that actually care about another person - especially so, when that person is a stranger to them.
Very well written, and an enjoyable read.
Rose.

Oh, Teri. This is the best I've read for this contest. It deserves
a seven. But this is all I've got. I could feel your pride for your
son throughout this piece.
I have just a few suggestions. He works for "the" not "a" Social Security
Administration. There's only one.
Capitalize, "mom" in paragraph seven
In paragraph eight: You may want to use the word "doesn't" instead of "don't."
All the best in the contest, Teri. If we get to vote, I'll be there. -Bill

Your son has a generous and caring heart. Those small acts of kindness may make all the difference in the wold to the woman he helped. To know just one other person cares she exists means she ins worthwhile.
Well told. Good luck in the contest.

Teri,
It surely is well worth mentioning and writing about here. Wow...I would be proud
also to have a son so educated and yet to have such a caring heart for this woman...and in the end homeless people in general. Perhaps it is the beginning
a ministry for him.
I think you did a really outstanding job on your story here. I like the way you tell it just like it happened with the first phone call and your conversations after.
Thank you for sharing this with us,
Linda

There's nothing better than knowing one's kids turn out well. Particularly if they care for people, particularly the poor. Prov. 22:9 and Prov. 31:20. Such a sensitive, gentle emotive story, I'm really happy for you, it's a marvellous testimony and shows what God can do for one's children, well done Teri, blessings, Roy
