An interesting post combining a nursery rhyme with real life. I see nothing that could offend a reviewer. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

Perhaps he should have stuck to beer. I don't know of any wells that provide a source of the amber nectar. Water is a decidedly dangerous substance unless diluted with large quantities of whisky.
A neat reworking of the old nursery rhyme.

A person after my own heart. I like the way you think. I think though in this case there might have been one or two too many glasses of the amber nectar which may have led to the bold and brash act. LOL. I appreciate your humorous response.

Ha,ha. I wonder how many will get the 'jist'.Yes, Nomi.Sometimes we head in head first and so blinded by the euphoria, especially if that well will eventually turn dry.
Good humor.
Have a great day, my brother.

Thanks, good brother. I was afraid that some might get offended, but I just wanted to write a fun poem for a change. What many may not know about me is that I come from a long line of Jokers, mostly on my father's side of the family. I appreciate your humorous response to my little ditty.

Thank you, I felt that I have been far too serious for too long and I wanted to have some fun.

Hi Nomi,
As a Christian friend I didn't know what to say about your poem so I kept reading it over and over again. I should have stopped at the first read as it didn't seem to be slightly racy at all. LOL

Thank you MizKat. It was just a little bit naughty and not meant to be offensive at all.

Comment from Gloria ....
Ha, this is most amusing nomi. I love the fool card too. I've never seen that Tarot deck before.
This is a little risque but no sense in losing our heads or a little tail.
Nicely done, you.

Hmm, could be. However, I don't know if I would dive headfirst down a well to get it.
-
well... if it was good, you might. ;)
-
If it was good I would do anything, go anywhere to get it.
-
that's the spirit! ;)

These three couplets which make up, Ring the Bell, take the kid's poem past its nursery stage to the humor we like to see in light-hearted poems. Nice.
