Wish I had one....mine's gone kattiwhampuss! But hey, it's two in the AM and I cant sleep thinking about all the poems I need to post and fightin'this old laptop that testifies to why I'm not happy about new versions, updates and fiddling with stuff that already works. Well used to anyway. But really signed up here to wish you a really happy holiday season as you are so SPECIAL to me! havvahappy! VANCE the Grayness one!

I hear you! My brain filled stuffed with old rags anymore. I'm having trouble getting to sleep too these nights-er-early mornings. I figured out that FS causes me too much frustration when I enter a prompt and see the same people always winning!

Yes, I'm being 'threatened' off Classic, too. I think threatened is an apt word. There's an implication in the highlighted message. I wrote to Tom, too. He seems to think type size is the only issue. He's myopic.
I've ignored prompts to 'upgrade' to Windows 10. I suspect Windows' motives are more self-serving than helpful. Now I sound like Oliver Stone.

According to my techie son, everyone will eventually have to upgrade to ten. That's what he stays with Apple and gives me the horse laugh when I complain.

I much prefer classic - it's brighter, easier to navigate (now I'm used to it) and familiar.
I don't want to start fiddling around with new tech, as I'm happy enough if the friggin light comes on when I start the computer up.
I kept getting the 'Windows 10' pop-up, too, but I refused to change, as I read there were more minuses than plusses to it - I'm still on 'Windows 7', but I haven't figured out how to play games on it, so any advice would be welcome.

My Windows 8 came with games on it. Might be the same for 7. Click on first symbol or word you see on the far left bottom. You'll get a menu. Click on programs or accessories (I can't remember which) and you should find listed free cell, spider solitaire and maybe a few others.
I go to SpinTop sometimes where you can download a free trial of any game and if you like it, the cost is around seven dollars. They sent me a disc so I can download it on any computer.

I was giving the idea from what I remembered. You can always put the name of the game you want in the browser and see what comes up. Oh, I guess you that by playing with yourself too.

I hate the thought of buying a new car and having to study the manual before I could figure out all the new gadgets. I'm fine right now with my 2008 model and it runs. That's all I want.

I know how to use it fairly well ... just don't like it!

I'm not sure if my previous reply reached you, or nor. My computer said "can't connect to the Internet" when I tried to send the reply, yet I checked my connection and it said all was good! Don'r we love modern technology and cyberspace!!!
We are doing pretty good. I have minor surgery tomorrow morning at 6:45 The will be putting the port in y chest for my chemo treatments. They said I should be in and out in about 3 hours ... the surgery will take about an hour. No big deal. They said I might not feel to good on Christmas day (2 days later), but I'll deal with it. We're just going across town for the day.
Hope all is well with you & Frank. We think of you guys quite often.

You dissected this quite well. I mentioned aging because I find it harder to follow the plots of some movies anymore! Jurassic World with it tech talk, for example.
I suspect Tom is luring us to move out of Classic. Maybe he should offer 20 member pumps to those that do. :-)
