Great lyrics. I can feel the words flow as I read. Very well done. Yes, there seems to be many things that aren't passed on and we have to learn the hard way. This country song is GREAT! and should go well in your book. Best of luck. Like most country song--the girl got away. My guy didn't get away, so I'm lucky. I have several friends who can sing these sad songs.

Again a great piece, In answer to your question I don't believe if mamma did tell you about them bedroom eyes, things would have turned out differently, as I think like love there's something you cant control despite being warned about.

Brett MW, this is s good written piece. It conjures up a vivid imagery of falling for the wrong girl and ending up with a broken heart. Poor mother is to blame for leaving certain stones to sit unturned. An enjoyable free style lyric. Nicely done!
