I am playing a little catch up to make sure I catch all the chapters I missed. Sorry for the short review but I want to get to the next chapter. Excellent chapter that continues to capture my heart. I am off to read the next one.

An amazing story, Ulla. What your mother must've gone through. Her choices were made out of love, which you already know. I see you've another post waiting for me. I love this story!

Ahh, this is just so lovely that you give me a review after the promotion has ended. Thank you so much for that. It pleases me no end. More to follow very soon, and by the way I miss Alejandro. Haven't seen much of him lately? All the best. Ulla

Its so fortunate that your mother had a home so close to the sea. That's then best place to be while resolving emotional issues, in my opinion. Great story and I always look forward to each post.

I was very moved by your account of spending time with your mother, Ulla. What a lovely relationship you were able to enjoy together, especially as you were so comfortable with each other, Giddy :)

the coffee, and went out to (You might be able to skip this 'and')
(When) I took a deep breath, I imagined that I could smell the sweet scent of the sea mingled with the aroma from my coffee. ) Just tried to eliminate 'and' :),
and I liked (could you eliminate this 'I'?
Very interesting, but it looks like I missed out on the part about what happened to your Dad.

1.) the rest I want to tell you in a comfy chair out in the terrace, and (with?) a cup of coffee too."

Ulla,
Another interesting chapter in this journey of yours. Fascinating! I'm still so proud of you for your ability to take all things in great stride. Shows what a wonderful foundation your adoptive parents had blessed you with (IMHO!) Thanks for sharing!

Robyn, thank you so much for your lovely review. Well, it turned out to be so easy. We just hit it off right away and somehow the will and love was there. Thanks again. Ulla:)

The telling of the story of your birth and the forced adoption seems to have been very healing for you and your mother. So many women never get the chance to explain their actions to the child. A lovely chapter, Ulla.

Another great episode, Ulla. I like the images you are drawing and the dialogue is natural. I'd throw in a few sentences describing things like, what they are wearing, or what the breakfast consisted of, to strengthen and deepen the images. Put in a few sentences describing Heidleberg, for example, that would make the reader visualise the city. Especially good, if the reader has visited there at some time. The story becomes more easy to relate to.

This must be so therapeutic for you, writing an exact account of how you rediscovered yourself. I like how you encase the revelations in natural human settings where you feel comfortable to deal with the information as your mother is ready to share. A really well written piece of prose.
