No doubt words to think about. Is it all reality or politics. The world being in a state of shock, and disbelief from the horrible facts of hate and brutality. The good many times ignored by the stupidity of society.

I love your poem! I believe that you captured the views of many people, and you said it without actually mentioning any names, and without being as brutal as you could have been. You outclassed both of the poem's characters with your subtle sarcasm and truth. I love (actually I feel for you) how the very place you go to get away from all the stress is infiltrating its patrons with more worry. Excellent!

You know how to tell if a politician is lying? Their lips are moving. It is sad that thus seems to be the truth with so many. Blatantly lying for a vote. They have sold their souls to the devil. Thanks for sharing. God bless.

Roy,
What a message! Though I admit, I didn't understand alllllll of it, the parts I understood came through like a trumpet's blast. I think we're all confused and frustrated. Thanks for sharing!
Favorite lines;
One only hears himself
despite the screams and cheers.

As far as politics goes, "The TRUTH" will never be found. This is very well written with an interesting flow of words. I enjoyed your poem, Sir Victor.

Sounds like we gave a voter who wants do done to actually vote for and simply not using his/her vote to try and keep the greater of two evils out of the Oval Office. We're bound to get a crook, either male or female.

Boy are we in trouble as if things weren't bad enough already! Haven't you heard? Narcissism is the way. That is what is being pushed on our youth through the television shows and the obsession with oneself on social media! :) This is a great poem and I enjoyed it so much! This election is doom to me for there is no one I want to support. It is quite the mess! Thank you for sharing! Happy writing!
I especially enjoyed these parts:
One only hears himself
despite the screams and cheers.
The other'd sell her mother
and all her former peers.

A-h-h-h-h-h-h yes, Victor. It's that wonderful time of year yet again when everyone starts debating politics. Election fever has certainly caught fire with our less than illustrious choice of candidates here in the US. Your poem touches on the current political debates, although it soon progressed to a more subliminal message about narcissistic views and the apprehension our nation is currently feeling. Nice little twist at the conclusion; an effective tactic used to lighten the somber mood.
Great work!

Why not make the last words of couplets one and two rhyme with cheers and beers?
Another trivial question. Hillary's right-hand man, Trump, sure is tearing up her opposition, the GOP. Excellent political cartoon in poetry.
