Not as scary as some of your stuff but I will certainly watching the scarecrows from now on. It seems that even they are armed and dangerous these days

Dean;
-I simply love this morbidly and horrifyingly short story of Timmy and the scarecrow. After reading your author's notes, first, and even though I knew what was going to happen is still frightened the heck out of me. I guess is you slowly put the reader into a trance with your words.
- I have covet the way you choose your pictures which this one is definitely appropriate, relative and complementary to your work.
- Now Timmy can easily play his human flute by putting his fingers over the holes in his throat and opening his mouth to breathe out. Chuckle!
- Thanks for a very fine and we and for sharing and posting this and may the good Lord be with you always Dean.

this is an excellent write, dean, you did an excellent job writing this story about the scarecrow who took a little boy's life to take his place up on the post so he would scare people off. I enjoyed reading it....

Superb flash fiction! In so few words you showed, intrigued, horrified, and satisfied.

The ending is my favorite: "A smaller crucified body now hangs from the cross, eyeless face watching over the corn--its head draped in bloody burlap."

This is a powerful image that won't soon leave readers.

I found two minor SPAGs for you, if you don't mind:

"Deicate to Fright Fans everywhere . . . " (Do you mean "dedicated"?)

"The thing terrfied the beejeezus outta him." (terrified)
