So that's why they call them scarecrows? That's for the birds! A quite terrifying little tale, maybe a little corny. Evi

Hi, Dean
_ Yep, you're right, Timmy's hangin' round--peekin' and NOT so much grinnin'.
_ Sure am glad when I lived down on the farm, our cornfields didn't rustle by way of Timmy's demise.
_ Of course, we did have a 'haunted house' in our neighborhood. Scare the bezeeze out of us kids. (*<*)
_ Super storytelling--indeed--I got all choked up.
* Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and yours*
Cheers & Blessings...
Keep Smilin'...

Mmm. Where do these come from Dean? Another poor soul despatched to the outer reaches of purgatory, or wherever souls go for holding. But well done, my friend, you have a huge imaginative and inventive mind, another example of that here, well done, blessings, Roy

This is not Robert Frost here but another tiny tale of terror about murderous scarecrows. Now I am never getting close to them. I am glad to only about them from a safe distance. Thank you for sharing.

Oh my!!!!!!!!!!! I will never look at a scarecrow the same again. Originally being from the Midwest, I have been around many a cornfield. Once again your short story is very well written. You have talent.

Cornfields have their own special place in all the great horror minds, so many places to hide, seemingly endless rows harboring whatever the imagination can conjure up. Thanks for another great read. :-)

Horror and gory plus Dean
Looks like that Timmy's trill ended in horror when he was the new victim on the cross in the corn field.

THEN STOP GOING THROUGH THE DAMN CORNFIELD!
Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. I think that horror movies should be a way of weeding out the more foolish of our species. :)
I can't even bring myself to say 'Poor Timmy'. After the first time the scarecrow moved, he shoulda been saying, 'No freakin' way am I going in there again.'
A very creepy tale of hunter and hunted.
Well done.
