This is a fine poem for your grandson. Your poem is filled with joy and hope. You also offer a prayer for God to guard Jo through life. This is a tender, loving poem. Thank you for celebrating and sharing.

Congratulations to you, Granddad. We celebrated our eldest grandson's sixth birthday last week, so I know how proud you must be. Your poem is a celebration and an ode of sorts. You centre the attention on his birthday but include him in your umbrella of faith through prayer for the present and future. A fine piece and one I'm certain he will appreciate as he gets older.

Our children are God's masterpiece. Bringing us joy, love and hope for the future. One's love never fades as you say, how true. I loved reading this. I have children and now grandchildren as well...what a precious gift bestowed upon us. Thank you for sharing

This sonnet-esque poem, November's Child, written in what looks like iambic tetrameter, will be a special remembrance for Jo Jo and is a nice reminder of the gift of children can be. Nice poem.

-Very nice photo of your grandsons.
-I am sure the birthday boy is very excited.
-Thoughtful of you to include all children.
-There are so many effective images in your poem.
-A couple of my favorites are:
* "November's child, brought songs to sing."
* "Each child was born to dance on dreams"

Those are three handsome lads
They have the same eyes and the same ties
The same white shirts and same blue vests
The same blond hair, the same physique
but underneath, they're all unique
And each a joy, may they each
dance on dreams
of love's bright beams
Happy birthday Jo-Jo
Well done, proud Grandpa
Well done

What a good-looking trio of grandchildren you have! You've written a lovely poem to commemorate Jo-Jo's birthday (and, as you said, all children). I especially liked your last two lines.
