I'm sorry i missed this ...-frown-...its wonderful Nancy...if I wasn't an oaf you would have tied for first. I hope you still love me even with my oafal timing and dim witted navigational sense...i think I need to get on star. love Michael

Hi amada, it IS a great word, isn't it?
I love this part:
....or pedaling on an unpaved road
or solving an old riddle
or watching a cloud above a cloud.
Because, because
all minds clamp miracles--
Freaky, wonderful
wanderlust
That was so fun! It's true... all minds DO clamp miracles! ;)
As you know, in light of my prose piece, Pay it Forward, I'm going through portfolios of members as I can and 'nudging' over poetry or prose with that ONE review it might take to push it gentle over to Recognized or All Time Best Status.
I'm pleased to nudged this one into All Time Best status!
I'm hoping that people will also Pay it Forward to their fans and/or supporters/new members who review them, or who are new to FS... as a way to say thank you, or Welcome to Fanstory! Or just Merry Christmas! ;)
This was an excellent and fun piece!
Happy Merry, Oh so Very... Mwah!

Cat, thank you so much for checking out this work. I missed the contest for one vote! Ouch! You know you could start your own like "Picture This," or" Review This" group. The logistics would be up to you. Just an idea.

Yes, I know... but I'm afraid it would get so huge as well, Jax is much better at handling large organizational things than I am. LOL ;)
thanks Amada!
mwah!

I like the word too plus the way you managed the contest's requirement. I enjoyed your litany of likes, and found the image of "living inside a magician's hat" memorable. I hope your entry did well in the competition- Joan

And vice versa--I enjoy our mutual admiration. Smiles- Joan
Comment from Gloria ....
This is a wonderful poem, amada. I especially like how you've selected the dip and crest of a wave to visually represent your words and then go on to illustrate the many fascinating facets of wanderlust.
Sorry I missed the contest, because this is a good one.
Next time for sure.

Amada,
I think you've chosen a really original word for this writing prompt.
I'm wondering why I was not notified of this...did I miss it??
Anyway, your poem is unique and you have some interesting
descriptions of 'wonderlust'
Nice job on this,
Linda

I am a kindred spirit with word collectors and am delighted with your poem. it is always tempting to share my favorites with other word collectors, but it is best to discover one's own, so I refrain.
Damn ... can't resist: Omphaloskepsis

As a faint gleam of understanding flashes across my mind = This is a mighty great review!l Learning, oh that self-absorbed pursuit of mine.

Cute poem. I really liked the imagery I got from your 'or' sentences. They gave me very different feelings, as if I were different places. I also love the choice of using the word freaky with wonderful.

Though wanderlust is just a strong desire to travel, the desire at first arises in the mind. You have alluded interestingly to other travels the mind undertakes like 'solving old riddles' or 'watching clouds over clouds' So, a curious mind continuously experiences wanderlust.

If I'm the Judge you win. Loved the image and feeling this poem promotes.
Pedalling on an unpaved road. We did that as kids and often finished with skinned knees. Like I said, I loved it

Comment from Tomes Johnston
This is an interesting poem that the author has created with this piece of writing. I had a wanderlust and left home almost twenty one years ago. I am getting near the stage where I need a place to find home. I am living and working in London at the moment, but that is not going to be my final resting place.
