Well, Bill, it's all in the name isn't it? A little self-fulfilling prophecy perhaps?

Love the budder knife and burnt cheroot. This series is really very entertaining. Hopefully it's not about people in your hometown. LOL.

Great work.

Bill: funny, laughed out loud, bawdy (we all enjoy some of that). I wonder how many SDT's Franklin spread around . . . doesn't sound like a careful fella . . . and how many children did he create? There is a lot more which could be said of Franklin. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! livelylinda

Mr. Franklin S. T. DePeteet was a well-lived man, I read. Maybe a legend in that town? It made me smile specially the part of the well-worn wife. Heavens!

What a great and animated use of vernacular. Your language is rich and musical to the ear. It is also humorous. It reminds me of the sailors' shanty songs of the 19th century. They were quite ribald for their times. Thank you for sharing this talent today, but I would not sing this song in the presence of ladies.

Again you captured my attention.
Making me smile from the first line to the last. This poem reminded me of my uncle Melvin.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi Bill, this is brilliant! A well written poem spoken in what I think is the old Jamaican way of speaking, great humour in there and a pithy sense of wonderful words, thank you for sharing my friend.

I guess the vernacular and the misspelling is necessary to be consistent as a writer. The poem should carry out the mission of the writer, as you have done here. Thanks for sharing this excellent write.

Taking favors from the darlings on the street
Many an unknown disease he is destined to meet
His pride and joy reduced to a pissing toy
No longer will he worry of leaving the seed of a girl or boy.

This is an interesting poem that the author has created with this piece of writing. This is a fairly graphic poem, but it is a story worth telling.
