Such a sad and poignant poem, beautifully written, as you miss your beloved sister. A nice entry in this acrostic contest, I have lost many friends close and casual over the years plus mum and dad, my first experience was a close friend committing suicide for ridiculous reasons, he was talented good looking 19yr old, took me a long time to overcome, well done, good luck, blessings, Roy

So sorry for your lose. I only have one sister and I can't imagine losing her. We are still best friends after all these years. I talk with her everyday and are at each others homes as much as possible with her living four hours away.
Typos--second line to/a knock would be unheard. house of my little sister's/sister. With house before sister, sister is not a possessive.
Very interesting.

It seems to be possessive, but thanks so much, I'll watch that closer. Glad you have an adoring sister:)

I wasn't sure if you meant there was also something wrong with the second line--if so what? Sorry you couldn't find anything right about my poem:)

Writing is therapeutic and your words capture how much you miss your sister. Much emotion comes through this little poem, the last line being only one word, gone, adds to the strength of the poem.

Hello poet friend
Bless your heart, that is so sad and we are all faced with those type of moments and memories. You have penned it well. Loyd

Thank you, Loyd, for this encouraging review. I know your words earlier in the year really helped me a lot. I just want to mention Mary. I haven't found the way to really express how it was to have her as my sister. Happy Thanksgiving:)

This is a beautiful tribute to a sister's love. the poem is short, but every word is well chosen and well placed. Yes, time takes our loved ones from us and leaves us only tender memories .How precious they are. An acrostic ?? I've just realised that is what this poem is!! How very clever! How subtle too. Usually an Acrostic sticks out like a sore thumb, but this one is so delicately constructed I didn't realise what I was reading until I had looked at it for the third time, NO KIDDING. Well done. 'Sweet 'tho' in sadness" as one of the great poets once said. (don't ask me who Pulease.) cheers Cass

Thank you, Cass, for a heart-lifting review. So glad it was clear. My sister's daughter is having a family Christmas dinner-(as Julie-- is at the house for a while) for family and friends. She said one last time at Mom's.

A cool poem. I am sure she would have enjoyed reading it, though it is sad that no one answers at the same time it made me happy to think of her reading it. Thank you for sharing your poem.
