Wow, this is wonderful and the selected image is brilliant. The trees are indeed the lungs of the earth and cutting them away does affect the breathing. Best wishes for the contest.
Bless you
John

Good job except that you only one line should be disconnected. I recommend you get lessons from Alvin Ethington to learn the ends and outs of perfect Haiku. Good luck in the contest.

Luckily, we keep planting new ones. A brilliant picture to illustrate your wisdom. Yes, we need forests just as we need other kinds of vegetation. They all clean the air and maintain breathable atmosphere. Well written.

Thank is a very interesting picture that really illustrates what you have written. In the rain forests in particular trees are cut down at an alarming rate. The rain forests have a great diversity of life and are responsible for a lot of the oxygen we breath.

This is an excellent haiku with lines l and 2 interconnection perfectly - line 3 is a perfect satori which stands alone yet the first word closely resembles what you say in lines l and 2. Very clever. Perfect picture. Good luck in the contest. Warm regards Dorothy x

Hi there,

Now this is a very clever haiku.

The denouement in the final line is exceptionally well realised.

Wishing you all the best in the competition.

I love the satori line, breathtaking ignorance. I think it makes a very profound statement about what is going on with the destruction of forests around the world.

Hello there,

A powerful message wrought from the confines of the haiku form.
Th imagery is vivid and emotive and stands strongly alone, without the artwork, which, by the way, demonstrates your message well. Good luck.
