Oh my, I feel as if I'm on a roller coaster, first one and then the other with symptoms that are not characteristic to the health complaints given. Bobby, although quite aware of much of the conflict, however never involved, just sits and takes it all in. I find Nicole and Barb are indeed similar to each other and that is why they are sometimes at odds. Wonderful family story, because believe it or not, many families can relate.

You're right about Bobby just taking it all in. As for Nichole, I don't feel close to her at all anymore. It's like pulling teeth to get a complement out of her or to get her to talk about anything but the weather.

Hope it isn't what I think it is, creative types rarely dress conservative, they almost always put them selves together with vintage clothing and costume jewelry.

You're so right about the fashion. My sister was ultra conservative and thought it was terrible when I had my ears pierced. That was a lower class thing back in the fifties.

You are doing an excellent job with this. You have completely captivated me with this story an I find myself developing my own personal opinion about some of the characters, not really fair since I don'e really know them. I didn't sleep very well last night and think I will go back to bed and try to catch up on what I missed. Not sure if I will do any more reviewing today. I am getting really far behind but hate to miss any of them.

Sasha, sleep and your help come first. I have a system as to who to review or not. I'm going to put in on FS one of these days. Famous last words. Glad you are connecting with my story. That's the best compliment a writer can get. (Of course, I'm leaving all the bad stuff about me out. LOL)

Thanks, I have been working my way up from the bottom but I think I just need to write down those that I want to follow but can't, and get back to them later. Poor Ben is still passed out behind an Oak tree in a pile of dried leaves. I need to get the poor guy some help too...LOL

Good to see you and Barbara connecting. I am glad she appreciared the time you and Frank spent with Bobby. Odd she still wouldnt give you her phone number. Weight loss doesnt sound good in this instance. Hope she is alright.

I wouldn't be sure it was a good thing either. Whilst some think 'you can never be too rich or too thin, an obsession with the way you look and what you eat can sometimes go too far, especially when you get older. Stick thin people usually have a lot more wrinkles, and I liken them to a deflated balloon. Sometimes a little bit of 'plumped up' can look better!

I look forward to reading on, and hope your sister is okay.

It's scary to see a few ladies well in their seventies who look like brown scarecrows. Worse, they hang out at the pool with size two swimming suits. Wrinkles cover their face. Creepy. -They look like victims of the Holocaust. Glad my daughter is finally wearing a size six!

Yes, she did and that's why she didn't like your sister.

Gosh, falling three times in one year! And that thing about losing so much weight - not a good sign.

Another good chapter, Shari. Hugs, Lou

The itching is not a good sign too. She puts everything down to stress and there is something to that.

Great chapter to your book, Shari, and great descriptions of your sister. I like the comparison between her and you daughter. Were you thinking she might be having a health issue with her falling and weight loss? Just one tiny thing...

(")You mean it's that often?" My voice registered alarm.

Smiles,
Karyn :-)

Thanks for catching the spag. It scared me to think she was losing weight without trying to. I know this is not a good sign.

She still wouldn't give me her phone number or e-mail pleading she was too busy with work.... how monstrous, Shari.

This write gets more poignant as it progresses. You've been good to Bobby, Shari. God bless you for this.

Hugs,

Sonali xx

Thanks, Sonali. It's bringing back fond memories of Bobby. We miss going to Tampa to visit him. He passed away a year ago at age 45.

Your family takes on such interesting personalities as you tell the story. Barbara does sound a bit like a snob, but shows some gratitude when it comes to Bobbie.

I like you reminder that most of us have little to complain about, especially when Bobbie has it so much more difficult. We should count our blessings and not complain about the few aches and pains we have in comparison.

I agree, pencil thing people should probably worry when they lose four pounds, not celebrate about it.

Appreciate all your remarks. I'll be self-publishing Bobbie's life too in a couple of months. Just have to add some finishing touches.

I agree. She sounds like she can't afford to lose an ounce, much less any pounds. Oh well, she didn't ask me, and I suppose if she's happy...

Another interesting piece. Thanks!

I've seen some seventy year old women in my community that nothing but look like toothpicks. It's scary.
