I got behind, but I'm catching up. I absolutely love this story and find it so uplifting. Your mother seems like an amazingly wonderful woman and you do too. There's lots of good energy in this story.

Wow, thank you so much and for catching up with my story. That is absolutely great. I'm honoured and so pleased that you like it. Yes it was amazing to find and meet my mother. We hit it off right away. All the best. Ulla

I was caught with this story from beginning to end. Just a wonderful and well written chapter.
I have just two suggestions.
In the first paragraph, the word "angle" should be "angel."
Secondly, we have two adopted daughters. They would suggest that you
use the term birth-mother to describe her, which respects your mother.
I look forward to the next chapter. Please let me know when it is posted. Thanks. -Bill

Thank you so much for your lovely review. I'm so pleased that you like it and I do hope you'll be reading on. I do actually mean angle not angel. Help was coming from an unexpected corner, not from an angel. Thanks very much again. All best. Ulla

My sincerest apologies. I went back and read this again and I now see what you were saying. Sometimes I'm a little dense.
BTW, I have just posted a short story titled, "Raising a White Flag." -Bill

Bill, of course you are not dense. LoL. I'll go reading your story right away. Thanks for responding. Ulla

These events are something special. I have known of a woman who searched for son who was adopted out at birth and found him and had a great day even though they were worlds apart. Nice story. I find nothing wrong.

1.) I went over to her, and gave her a peck on her cheek. She turned and beamed at me.
--> that makes me soooo happy!
This was a wonderful chapter with lots of emotion. I didn't find a single thing to criticize. Great work!

A very interesting story of an adapted woman in herfifties finally tracking down her true mother and paying her a visit in California which turns out to be a delightful surprise for both of them and they go about taking the time to bond before approaching the topic of her father who passed away but lives on in the treasured memories of her mother which she then proceeds to share with her long lost daughter. Well written full of the love and warmth of an overdue reunion of mother and daughter!

Thank you so much. It was precious moments but I never said my father had passed away. I didn't know who he was and I was to be told. For all I knew he could still be alive. All best. Ulla

Your narrative style is quite gripping. The suspense keeps building as Ulla and his mother go about having their breakfast and spend some time at the promenade. What information is in store for Ulla about his real father was uppermost in his mind as well as readers. Beginning with the coldest January in 1951, Ulla and readers are anxious for the story to unfold.

After all the searching you had to do for your mother, it's nice that you are getting to spend time with her and get to know her. Now, she is about to tell you about your father.

Part ten of your tale has been very entertaining, and most satisfactory, as it would appear to be a happy event in your life. After such a long journey to find your mother, it is a great relief to see the welcome she gave, and the connection that is already forming. I, too, would like to hear about your father. Well done.

I'm so glad I caught the next part of your story! Once again, you told it so beautifully. I love how you and your mum are getting along so well, right from the start. I also really enjoyed how you two went shopping to stock up for "the talk." That's how I know it's going to be a good one! Oh, and how you still tease with the story about your dad, but I'm happy to wait, as long as it's coming! Thank you for once again sharing.

Oh, thank you so much! I'm so sorry to keep you hanging, but as I wrote it I just couldn't rush it, because that's not how it happened. We needed time to bond and get to know each other a bit more before we could embark on the next big thing. All best. Ulla

I have missed a couple of chapters but I think I am up-to-date.
It is really exciting to hear you talking to your mother. I will try to stay up with the story.
