Your poem is well written and I like your aabb rhyme scheme...all of which are unforced as you tell the tale. It's a story that as you mentioned in your author notes... unfortunately does happen. Sorry to hear you knew someone so affected by this.

I clean up crime scenes, so I know a bit about what you're talking about. The child murders, and the suicides are generally the worst. I often have hallucinations about dead people if I stay on a job like that for too long.

Not to worry - first I am a woman and no I didn't have anyone in mind when I wrote it, but then I remembered that I Iknew a woman whose son was murdered by a soon to be x girlfriend who also took her own life.. Tragic !
