I'm not that familiar with the government here, but I did enjoy the continued play on words and occasional rhyming employed. Nicely done.

Hi there,
I think you should consider changing this from script to non-fiction / fiction as to view it as a script would mean it has a lot of work needed to be done to it. It isn't formatted as such.
I don't think many people are taken in at all by the rhetoric of politicians these days. certainly not in the UK on the whole - I can't speak for the US.
All the best

Wow! A lot of thinking going on here, (and lots I agree with).
Lost me a little bit in pov, as first there's a narrator, then "you" and finally, "we."
This is insanely interesting, but I think you have to narrow your focus a tad, like shining a light.
Your language is superb esp. at the beginning of this piece--the first two paragraphs (stanzas?) SHINE.

Thank you. It is always helpful to have a flashlight on the path.

Cynical, but oh, so true. Whatever the country or state, the story is the same - power corrupts. The general public walk toward destruction as zombies , deviod of critical thought.

Sound the trumpet! You have penned the truth. I think it is not limited to the UK and US, but is global. Here in America the slogan is printed on our currency "In God We Trust" yet it does not seem to live in beating hearts.
