I liked this treatise on God and sin, God's will and the spirit of Jesus. I'm inclined to believe that there are many paths to righteousness and paradise, it states in the Gospels that Jesus proclaimed that anyone on earth, in history or the future anywhere, who follows his rules about human conduct and His definition of God the creator is worshiping in His way, even if they've never heard of him. In other words, Native Americans living by God's path would also go to heaven as Christians, long before Europeans came to "show them the way". Just one example, there are many cases of people living by Christ's rules, spread out geographically and over time, and all these people were also saved people, whether they had heard of the Bible or not it doesn't matter, not to Christ. I'd give you the exact quote number from what book but I never wrote it down, its a good quote that indicates Christians should be tolerant of other forms of belief and worship, and if the groundrules for human conduct and belief in God are followed then those people should be considered saved as well, instead of the levels of intolerance that Christians often elicit. Amen, nice writing.

I thank you for your good intentions and kind words to me, but your conclusions about Christianity are simply not founded in Christ's teaching. In John chapter 3, Christ told a well known Bible teacher that he needed to be "born-again" just as everyone does or miss both the sight and the entry into the Kingdom of Heaven. He said of Himself; John 14:6:, ?I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me"
So according to Christ's own words, there are not "many ways" to God . You may, of course, choose to believe there are but you cannot in all honesty say Jesus taught such.
I suggest you spend some time reading Christ's own words and teaching in relation to who He is and the significance of His death, burial and Resurrection. God bless you, Dennis

Romans 7 shows us the struggle with our old selves. We are aware of the struggle because we also have a new nature made in the image of Christ. Romans 8 shows us how the "new man" can win the victory through the Spirit and the Word. God bless and keep on fighting...He could come today for the church. YBIC, Dennis

I relate with your piece on a visceral level. Speaking as one who relates specifically to Paul's sinner's credentials, I am so grateful that the Lord didn't mind getting His hand's dirty when He saved me.
It is wonderful that you share the Word and your faith in this way.
Your work has real 'meat.'

Thank you....I'm not trying to be evasive when I say all of God's children are preachers. I am not formerly a preacher but I do preach (radio/churcch). I believe every Christian can and should know the Word of God by His grace. The early Christians did (largely) and so can we. God bless you and thanks for your encouraging words, Dennis

It is loosely based on my own story, although my parents did give me a very great gift. They raised me on the water: rivers, lakes, the ocean. The wet stuff kept me sane.

"Not wanting any to perish." What a wonderful God I serve. Too many people have head knowledge and not heart knowledge of our Lord and Savior.
Too many of our family and friends need to know the saving knowledge of our Lord. It is great that he seems to be tarrying, but something he is going to say "That is enough." I'm ready for that day, but so many are not.

"Not wanting any to perish." What a wonderful God I serve. Too many people have head knowledge and not heart knowledge of our Lord and Savior.
