Hi Amada,
I admire your love for your grand children and great grand children. Lot of imagination has gone into this poem. You have seen lullabies in swaying branches. Leaves opening softly is an indication of opening up opportunities, followed by Anthony climbing heights in life. So I give six star for your great imagination
Cheers

Hi Amada,
Am I reading this correctly - did your grandson pass? Gosh, that makes it hard for me to find the right words to give to you. However, I will say that this is a lovely poem, very poignant. Hugs, Lou

Sorry to say but it's true. Seven's months anniversary today. Still feels like a deadly punch in the guts! Thank you for your concern, dear poet.

Amada,
Oh, this is most eloquent prose poem and remembrance of your grandson. I am
so very sorry for your loss. The symbolism, metaphors and style is so lovely. The
orange balloon that strayed behind, the peace and the lingering grief are all expressed so warmly and creatively.
Your ending is also very beautiful:
"I also see my long narrow road under the solace of the orange color. Those days with a twist of brightness are the days when his sunny presence graces me."
I don't I could give this anything other than exceptional,
Linda

Hello there, Amada
Your take on the 'picture challenge' has most certainly brought out your some deep feelings.
So terribly sad when we loose a loved one. You describe him as a person so full of energy and in love of live.
The turn of pace here...
'I see the days with dark slashes on the road' WOW!
What a slap in the face...
A fantastic line.
pleasure to read, my friend, though so very sad.
My thoughts are with you.
hugs

Hi amanda, this is such a beautiful poem that tells of your great love and devotion for your grandson and just how much the colour orange portrayed his life and death. ( my deepest sympathy for your loss) This was written as if he was holding your hand as the words seem to flow effortlessly. I loved you last 2 lines of your long path but when his sunny presence graces you. A lovey tribute and you have done justice to this image so well Cheers Christine
