G'day Roy. I'm so sorry that I haven't been around reviewing mate. I've missed a bunch I fear. I have to go and find a wifi hotspot such as Maccas when I want to connect and then that drags me away from my job as a security guard so I can't win lol.

This is another beauty here buddy. Lovely flow and rhyming and as always a perfect message. Going through life as a black/white man has given me a good glimpse into the way humans think and it's rarely pretty. Well done cobber. Cheers Fez

Oh how well I know the story of the "Good Samaritan"; if only mankind could love one another regardless of race, creed of color. We need to learn to show love and compassion for one another.

A wonderful and thought provoking write. Your message of love for all shines through.

In these times of greed we seldom give thought to the suffering of others.

This reminds me of Cornelia Ten Boom who offered forgiveness to and prayers for her captors during her incarceration in Ravensbruk. She fled they had more need of her pity and love.

Good morning, Roy:

Your author's notes explained your poem fully. I always say Luke 10:27 day and evening and think of it during the daytime.

I like it because so many people wonder how they can love some of their neighbors. Then I go over each of mine, and I find there are always wonderful things to say about them. It's the difficult ones I found hard to understand because I never had one like that.

But when I ponder the meaning of it, it brings to my mind where Jesus said to "forgive them for they know not what they do," and "do not judge lest you misjudge" (that great one gets you back in line) and remember, a person can still discern and not get into trouble.

I particularly loved your wisdom and compassion in your stanza:

"Don't come with guns and weapons,
and bring aggression's sneer;
we need your heart's compassion,
bring hope not blinding fear"

Thank you for sharing this Jewel of Wisdom for the day.

A great poem, Roy. I liked the line "to burn illusion's dross; to understands love's purpose". So true so many things in this world are simply illusions that prevent us from seeing the true world around us. A really interesting poem that was an enjoyable read.
