Another plaintive lyric. What country music is noted for. This one has all the fixin's.
A cheating fella caught by his wife. He doesn't know why he did it, says he's sorry and wants his wife to stay.
No way is she gonna stay.
We applaud her and cry for him. Love that range of emotions.

Very well done lyrics. Rich in true life situational details. The narrator agreed he was responsible for the at fault for the dark clouds forming but it was too late to stop the cloud.
"But, it's too late to say I'm sorry
It's too much to ask you to stay
I can see the dark clouds forming

These music lyrics are beautiful and sound like a poem with very nice rhyming in it. Can you tell me what free style is? Does that mean you can write it anyway you want? Sorry that I am so ignorant about some things. I may have known before, but I'm getting so forgetful I don't remember.

Hi Brett, lovely words written in Country and Western style, great rhyming and proximate rhyming, it has a good rhythm and meter leading to a very good flow, I could feel the beat of the first three stanzas as I read them.

I love all your lyrics in all your pieces. They are down to earth and make so much sense. You are not afraid to attack pieces from the other side of safe. like this one.
